"I'll hafta slug you six times instead!" Deuce exclaimed, slipping back into his rough-and-ready delinquent tone—the same one Y/n and Grim had witnessed back in the Dwarfs' Mine. The shift was immediate, like a switch had been flipped.

"Ha hah. You're gonna slug me?" The delinquent student asked, clearly mocking Deuce. "We'll see about that!!"  he roared, lunging with the first swing.

"Deuce!" Y/n called out sharply, her voice laced with concern. Her eyes narrowed, lips parting in a breath as her pulse quickened—but Deuce moved fast.

He slipped to the side, dodging the punch by a hair, his boots skidding just enough to pivot him back around.

The delinquent student widened his eyes in surprise when Deuce grabbed his collar again. "Grit those damn teeth!" he exclaimed, throwing a powerful punch, causing the student to fall back. When the student was down, Deuce stepped closer and picked up the student by the collar again.

"Next time you're eating eggs, you better apologize a hundred times first, you buncha chumps!!" Deuce roared after the retreating delinquents, still seething with adrenaline

"Next time you're eating eggs, you better apologize a hundred times first, you buncha chumps!!" Deuce roared after the retreating delinquents, still seething with adrenaline.

"Deep breaths, Deuce," Y/n's voice cut through the tension like a blade, calm but firm. She placed a cool hand on his shoulder, her fingers steady. "Start another fight, and this time they'll expel you for sure," she warned.

"Eep!" The beaten student squeaked, scrambling to his feet before bolting.

"R-Run for it!"

"Sorry for everything, chickens!"

"Whoooooa..." Grim whimpered slightly.
