"You poor unfortunate soul! It's sad but true. If you want to cross the bridge, my sweet, you've got to pay the toll. Take a gulp and take a breath and go ahead and sign the scroll."

Savanaclaw Dorm - Leona's Room

Noé opened the door with a wary hand, only to freeze at the sight before him. His voice caught awkwardly. "Vanitas... Leona... Ruggie...?" He blinked in disbelief, staring at the utterly bizarre scene.

Leona was sprawled lazily across his bed, hugging one of Y/n's pillows to his chest, his ears twitching as if savoring her scent. Ruggie was curled on Y/n's futon, tail wagging like mad as he buried his face in her blanket, inhaling deeply with a soft grin.

But the worst of it—at least in Noé's eyes—was Vanitas.

Vanitas sat on the floor beside Ruggie, his face flushed, his hands desperately clutching Y/n's belongings like a man starved. He rubbed his cheek against one of her pillows in a feverish frenzy, holding a smaller cushion stuffed with Y/n's shed feathers close to his mouth, inhaling shakily as though it were the only thing tethering him to sanity. A plastic bag, disturbingly filled with flakes of her crystalline scales from her tail, was pressed against his thigh.

Hidden to others, Vanitas had even Y/n's used bra hidden his shirt close to his chest while embracing her used nightgown, hidden for the purpose of making sure Noé doesn't confiscate, which he most likely would, and scold Vanitas for being highly inappropriate.

And under his shirt—hidden to anyone who wasn't watching closely—Vanitas clutched tightly at something else. Noé's sharp eyes caught the faint strap of a bra peeking from his coat. His jaw dropped. "You've got to be kidding me."

Vanitas ignored him entirely, pressing his face deeper into Y/n's nightgown, trembling as if his heart would tear itself apart. "Mmmh... Mon cher... don't leave me alone like this... I can't— I can't stand the distance..." His breath hitched, desperate and unsteady, almost delirious.

Noé's brows furrowed. A surge of righteous anger rose in him, not just at Vanitas but at the others too. "I expected Vanitas to be the perverted one... but Leona, Ruggie—seriously? What are you all doing, creeping around Y/n's belongings?"
