Then, a voice. Smooth. Male. Unfamiliar.
"Hello? ...Hello, lovely lady, fast asleep in my arms?" The tone was teasing, lilting — calm in a way that sent a faint chill up her spine. "Can you hear me?" he asked.

Y/n fluttered her eyes open groggily, vision hazy as her senses slowly returned. As she focused, she realized she was lying in someone's arms — someone she did not recognize.
"Oh, good. You're awake. How are you feeling?" The unfamiliar man smiled down at her, eyes wide in quiet astonishment at her appearance.
