Y/n drifted deeper into the waters of yet another dream. When her eyes fluttered open, a sharp gasp escaped her lips, only to be swallowed by the sudden rush of water filling her mouth. Bubbles rose, scattering into the dark as she coughed soundlessly.
She glanced around, but there was nothing—only a suffocating, endless black. "It's so dark..." she whispered, her voice muffled in the abyss. "Another dream..."
Then, slowly, the gloom lightened. A pale glow shimmered overhead, revealing the jagged walls of an underwater cave. Y/n looked down and froze. Tangled at her feet were strange strands of seaweed, their fronds twitching as if alive—dozens of unblinking eyes staring back at her from their stalks. "What the..." she muttered, unease prickling down her spine.
From deeper within the cavern, movement stirred. A small, familiar silhouette darted into view—the Little Mermaid, swimming timidly, her tail shimmering faintly in the gloom.
"Come in. Come in, my child." A rich, velvety voice echoed through the waters, coaxing and deceptively sweet.
Y/n's eyes widened as another figure emerged from the shadows. A mermaid with flowing light-gray hair, her voluptuous form half-shrouded in the cave's gloom. But what drew Y/n's breath to catch was not her beauty—it was her monstrous lower half. From her waist down stretched thick, coiling octopus tentacles, gliding ominously through the water. Around her neck hung a seashell necklace, pulsing faintly with a strange light.
"That's..." Y/n murmured, struggling to place the memory as her gaze locked on the octo-mermaid's looming form. "Isn't that..." The realization struck, chilling her.
It was the Sea Witch from legend.

"You're here because you have a thing for this human." the Sea Witch purred, her tentacles curling lazily as the Little Mermaid swam closer, wide-eyed and trembling. "Now, here's the deal. I will make you a potion that will turn you into a human for three days. Got that? Three days." Her lips curled into a sly smirk, sharp teeth flashing. "Before the sun sets on the third day, you've got to get dear ol' princey to fall in love with you,"
Twin shadows darted into view—two serpentine eels circling like predators, their yellow eyes glowing with cruel delight as they twined around the Little Mermaid.
"This sounds... oddly familiar..." Y/n mumbled under her breath, her dull eyes narrowing as she tried to recall where she had heard those very words before. No matter how hard she searched her memory, the answer slipped away like sand between her fingers.
