"Guess I always knew this day was coming. Knew that soon you'd. Want to leave the nest. Soon, but not yet. Trust me, pet. Mother knows best."**
Library - Entrance Hall"Off With Your Head!"
After the chaos of ceiling-chasing, Y/n was finally pulled down—not gently, but into what she now considered air jail: Vanitas's arms. He held her snugly against his chest like a human-sized porcelain doll, her wings slightly folded, her expression as blank as ever.
"Aww, Cher~" Vanitas purred, nuzzling his cheek against her cold skin as though she were a treasure he'd stolen. "You're even more adorable in my arms. But..." his tone dropped, blue eyes darkening, "...you shouldn't have done that, my dear. Crawling up there like some fragile little spider—what if you had hurt yourself?"
Y/n tilted her head lazily, her unblinking eyes fixed forward. "The only way I would've gotten hurt is if you and that red, prickly hedgehog yanked me down."
Riddle flinched at the jab, face going pink. "Still!" he snapped, puffing his cheeks in a rare pout before straightening. "What you did was not only reckless but against library rules. Therefore—" he flicked his wand sharply "—you're in timeout. And collared."
Y/n sighed. She was now a collared rabbit.
Vanitas smirked. Both he and Riddle knew that the collar was pointless since Y/n was too powerful, but they also knew how she would forget to remove the collar. Plus, Riddle secretly liked it when Y/n was collared. It made her look more precious in his eyes, and Vanitas knew that they both loved her in their own twisted way.
Vanitas's lips quirked into a smirk. He knew as well as Riddle did that the collar was useless—she could snap it in an instant if she cared to. But he also knew Y/n tended to forget such restraints, wandering about like a dreamy captive. And Riddle... oh, Vanitas could see the way his eyes softened, how his breath hitched. The perfect little picture of possession. (They share the same JP VA)
"Really, Housewarden?" Vanitas teased, brushing a finger along the edge of the collar before leaning down to whisper against Y/n's ear. "Do you enjoy dressing her up like a pet? Or is this just your way of pretending you own her?"
Riddle's cheeks flared, his voice sharp with denial. "S-Silence! This is punishment, nothing more!"
"Mm. Of course." Vanitas's laugh was low, mocking. "How precious, though. You're not the only one who likes seeing her bound."
"I heard that," Y/n muttered flatly, not bothering to move. "And I hate air jail."
"Air jail?" Vanitas echoed with faux offense. "Is that what you call the comfort of my arms? My heart aches, Cher~." He hugged her tighter, ignoring her unimpressed stare.
"You will reflect on your actions," Riddle insisted firmly, though his ears betrayed the faintest pink.
To the side, Kalim—who had arrived midway through the disaster—clapped his hands together and beamed. "But you look so cute, Lily!"
Y/n deadpanned. "I don't. I look ridiculous."
"There should be a broom closet around here... Ah, is this it?" Deuce called, jogging to a door nearby while Riddle continued scolding a collared Y/n, who looked perfectly unbothered in Vanitas's arms. Vanitas, of course, was absolutely delighted, cradling her like a precious lapine doll.
