Yeri's POV
I pick up my papers from the white desk and neatly put them in my folder. I gather my things and put my folder in the collection bin. I start walking towards the exit, planning on taking a quick trip to a convenience store to buy some dinner. I look at the clock hanging on the wall. It reads 10:23 pm. I look around to see I'm the only one there besides my co-worker who has been patiently waiting for me to finish the extra work our boss gives me.
"It's so unfair that he gives you so much more work compared to everyone else!"
He says as he gets off the wall he was leaning on just seconds ago.
I sigh and tell him,
"Stop waiting for me, I already told you I'm not interested."
Hurt crosses his features, but he quickly hides it.
"I know, I just thought we could be friends."
I don't say anything and start walking towards the exit of the office. He's the office's playboy and has been flirting with me for a while, although it seems like he has given up.
"Wanna come over to my place for dinner?"
He asks me as we begin to leave the building. The white interior contrasts with the outside world. The city's name, Black Mirror, reflects the city's actual look. The infrastructure around us is colossal and midnight black. There's an alleyway at every corner, making the city a prime zone for crime.
"Sorry, Taeyong. I'm going over to a friends for dinner,"
I lie to him, feeling annoyed.
"Can't you cancel?"
He pleads with a slight smirk emerging on his face.
I start to get even more annoyed and sternly reply with,
"No."
I start walking hastily to get rid of him, but it causes him to follow suit.
"Fine! Can I at least show you something before you go? I'll make it fast."
"What do you want to show me?"
"Surprise!"
He says all giddy. He clutches my wrist with his hand and starts to lead me down an alleyway that sends an uneasy feeling down my spine as I know it leads to a dead end. He lets go of my wrist and urges me forward, I start to walk forward and then stop, seeing the wall in front of me, and turn around.
"What do you want, Taeyong?"
He smirks at me, looks me up and down, then says,
"You."
I look around to see if there's any way to get out of this situation. The only option I have is to climb the hotel next to us, but I might be spotted and get scouted by KTC. That's probably the worst thing that can happen to anyone. He starts to approach me, and I try to run past him. Everything that happens after is a blur. He slams me into the wall and crashes his lips onto mine. He uses one of his hands to hold both of mine above my head while his other hand starts to explore my body. His hand reaches its destination, and I bite his lip hard enough to draw blood. He draws back and yelps. I grab onto his arm and lightly twist it and let go when I hear a satisfying crunch. He yells and starts to cradle his arm. He slowly slides down the wall in agony, and I squat down, so I'm eye to eye with him.
"Do that again, and I won't be so easy on you."
Before he can reply I'm already gone. I start to rush home and take a different route than usual, just in case I'm getting followed. I get home and make sure to lock all five different types of locks. I gasp for breath and sigh as I make my way to the kitchen and gulp down a glass of water. I can't stop thinking of what would happen if KTC saw what I did to him.
