Andrea P.O.V
It's been a week and a half since I left the dinner table and went to the place Cecil and I always did homework after school. I just sat on the bench and thought over some events and somethings that need to be said.
People at school are still giving me crap about being a transgender and now I'm banned to go to the girl's bathroom and the locker room, though I was never permitted to go before.
I think it's become official that I have zero chance of changing this rule, since the whole female student population all agree. Yet besides that, the hate has cooled down and I think it's because people are worrying about another person's life.
Druggy boy Jake's birthday party is this Saturday. And of course, it's the school's new topic.
I'm at my locker now, switching out some books for my next class when I hear a roar of people coming down the hallway. Boys and girls fly down the hall, yelling out and whooping in happiness. I stand back against my locker as some of the Jake pep rally participates shout in students' faces to get them hyped up too.
Out of nowhere, the intercom sounds and you can hear some type of struggle going on over the speaker. There's static and then someone finally speaks:
"Hello fellow students! You know what time of the year it is! The first event of a month full of outrageous partying and overdue hangovers! The pride and joy before prom and one of the last freedoms separating us from a teenager to fucking adults!"
People in the hall start to whisper, laughing, since most recognize the voice as Jake's. There's shouting over the intercom, but everyone in the hall is busy talking about the party. I watch in confusion at how simple their attentions turned from me to Jake.
It's weird to be honest. I mean, I know i'm not as important as a Jake Turner party but it's sad to think I'm less then that.
"So yeah! My party is this Friday! Only select people will be invited so be on the watch this week, pick out you're hottest outfits and bring your condoms 'cos it's going down~JAKE TURNER!"
An administrator finally interrupts his announcement . Took them longer then usual; the same thing happens every year.
"What are you doing here! You can't just do that, get off now! Stop, and let go of the button! You want detention again?!"
Now I'm smiling, probably the only one laughing at this idiot. I can see why he and Mandy were a good match.
"Ms. Striker..." Pause "...you could come?"It goes silent and everyone in the hall stands still as well. She wouldn't, she has some pride, she couldn't agree that easily."Alright! So be prepared ladies and gents, we are partying our asses this Friday!"
She did.
God I'm done. I take my books and start walking but the screech over the speaker stops everyone and makes me drop my books to cover my ears. The sounds so loud it dulls out the thunk of my books hitting the cerulean floor.
Ooooowwwwwww.
What the hell!
"Sorry! Just one thing! I'm doing something new this year! I'm asking one lucky lady out there to specially accompany me to my birthday party!"
Girls start squealing, as they jump in excitement. The females all start talking again and this time with a determined attitude. I watch around the area and stop on Mandy, who looks super pissed.
This is new. Jake usually brought Mandy with him and everyone knew they were together so this is really unexpected. It's obvious she will not take this too well.
