Andrea P.O.V

After a good twenty minutes sitting in a car with Jake, we pull up in front of a big house, much bigger than all the houses on my block combined.

"We're here." Jake states as he starts rummaging around in the limo.

Oh did I not mention, we came in a damn limo? Well lucky me, we did.

I stare at the immaculate house in front of us that's surrounded in lighting coming from the tiny garden lights showcasing the big house. I knew Jake was rich but not this rich.

"This is your house?" I'm astonished by the size and grandness of the place as I gawk on through the tinted glass.

"Fuck no! Why would I host my party at my house? This is my cousin's place, no way I'm trashing my parent's house. Plus this is much smaller which means easier clean up. " He smiles smugly as he looks out over me at the daunting house.

What Jake's trying to say is his house is bigger than this? I didn't think houses could be built this big in Edison. This in itself is a pretty huge place.

"Alright, what's next?" I ask him squirming in my spot as the nerves finally hit me.

How am I supposed to be Jake Smith's date to his own birthday bash? That isn't something that naturally occurs in well nature. All this doesn't make sense.

"We should get out of the car! I've set up a grand entrance!" As we sit parked in front, people are dropped off from cars and walk up to the front door, slowly trickling into the house. It already sounds like things are under way and it seems like we are one of the last to show up.

How early did his party start and how late are we to it? These are questions that will probably go unanswered.

My palms feel sweaty at the mention of a grand entrance. I can't picture what crazy thing might happen. This could be a "Carrie" moment with a bucket of blood waiting to fall on my head. This whole thing must be a trap.

"Andrea? Andrea!" I snap out of my thoughts not realizing that our driver has come around to open the door for us. I unbuckle my seatbelt then put a shaky leg outside the car, touching the pavement underneath my heel.

The driver offers me a hand which I kindly take as I climb out of the limo and stand on the curb, waiting for Jake to follow my actions. Once we are out of the car he waves the driver off then turns to me smiling.

""Let's head in babe, everyone's waiting." He smirks then steps towards me and sets his hand on my waist, pulling me close to his side. I flinch at the contact but stay by him anyways.

I don't want to make him look bad, let alone let on the notion that I'm nervous. We walk up the path, couples and stray people following behind, some greeting Jake with hellos and congratulations. That's right, he's eighteen now.

"Hey Jake? I forgot to wish you happy birthday. I meant to at the door..." I state as we near to the door.

"Aw thanks Andrea, means a lot. Did you get me anything?"

"Sadly no." Crap, I totally didn't get him anything, never even dawned on me. Well, my presence should be enough for him since he literally forced me to be his date without option.

"That's alright...I think I know what I want from you and you don't even have to go buy it. You'll see later. " He whispers before finally opening the front door, letting loose a wave of noise and freeing the mass amount of people to the world.

My eyes soak in the sight. There's bodies everywhere, dancing, crammed into the house that feels smaller when inside. Bright blue and pink lights strobe across the floor, leaving new patterns every few minutes. There's yelling and shouting mixed with the techno music that blares on in the background.
