Andrea P.O.V

"What did she say to you?" I play with the strap of my bag, twirling my hand sanitizer while clicking the cap between my fingers.

I take little glances to Simon, who's driving slowly out of the parking lot of the school. Buses wheeze past us as parents come pick up their kids from the front. Seniors and Juniors walk to their cars, taking their time to get out of school.

I finally worked up the courage to ask Simon about his chat with my sister, after painfully sitting on the bleachers, thinking over what she might've told him about me. I barely watched the game, even though people came up to me afterwards, saying that Simon is getting better than ever.

One guy said he'd become the next Beckham.

I'm sure Simon would love to know he's been compared to an important guy like David Becham. He'd probably believe that comparing them would be an understatement on Beckham's part. Simon might think his skills don't compete with Mr. Beckham's, but I know there always has to be another person to come and change things up, kind of like Mandy's words.

"What did who say?" Simon gleefully taps on his steering wheel, nodding his head to the music flowing quietly through his stereo.

Oh my god. He doesn't realize the mental pain I've been going through. However, if she did spill about me being Andrew, then wouldn't he be distant, hateful even?

She possibly didn't tell Simon about me being a transgender. I may be freaking out for no reason.

Sigh. This is irritating.

"My sister, Mandy? The one who talked to you before your practice?" Simon turns to me confused, but it hits him when he finally understands what I'm talking about.

"Oh! Her?! Yeah, what about her?" He mouths the words to the song, switching on his turning signal as he continues to bob his head.

"She said something to you? About me, right?" I stare at my fingers playing with my sanitizer bottle. I don't know what to do in this moment. I can't lie about being frustrated with Simon not catching on to what I'm trying to get at.

"Oh, yeah, she did......" He doesn't turn my way like I hoped, fixating his gaze on the road ahead.

"What was it she said?"

He takes another minute to think it over, all the while, leaving me with endless conclusions. Mandy isn't known to chat with people outside her circle of drunks and I can't relate this meeting with my boyfriend as a coincidence or an accident. She had some motive behind it.

" She....uh..talked about some.....some Youtuber I should check out." Simon rotates his head, constantly making sure a car isn't coming so he can turn.

A Youtuber? What is that about?

"Okay? Anything else she said?"

"Why do you care so much, Andrea? We just talked, she came up to me and we had a quick conversation" He hastily spits, desperately searching for a moment to turn. I can tell he's getting a little mad with my questions and the cars that keep whirling past us don't help when he wants to get me home.

God I am so obnoxious sometimes, even I can tell.

"Sorry, didn't mean to get you worked up, Si."

He sighs, taking a hand through his thick black hair, pulling the curls down straight to his nape.

"I'm not getting worked up, I'm only curious why you need to know all that we talked about. It's not that important Andrea. She came up to me, asked if I knew where you were, talked about some Youtube channel, and said that I should come over for dinner sometime."
