"Have you heard of that police guy choking that man out?"

"Yeah I know of it but I didn't read the article."

"Yeah well it's pretty stupid. The guy said he couldn't breathe."

Cecil grabs a fry from my tray and chews it in my face. I smile and flick his cheek. He flinches, but takes another fry. The cafeteria is really noisy like everyday and people are seated with their friends. At our table it's just Cecil, me, and the majority of the Lacrosse team. I know a couple of them through Cecil, but I wouldn't say we were friends.

More like acquaintances.

We talked over the project in class today. We have to come up with a paper and powerpoint, talking about an assigned American colony. We got Massachusetts. Simon agreed to meeting at his house, since it is in fact a take home assignment.

I figured.

"So what time is the game?" Cecil stops stealing fries to turn to one of his teammates.

"Six. You could just stay after school then I'll take you home later."

"Okay." I smile when one of his teammates steal his glasses and pass it down the table.

I watch them, when there's a tap on my shoulder. I turn to meet green eyes.

Oh.

"Hey Andrea. Can I sit with you guys? I ended up siting with some guys from class yesterday and man are they fucked up." Simon sits across from me anyway, setting his tray on the table top with a bang. Cecil turns to us as he fixes his glasses on his face. "Hey man, Simon."

Simon holds his hand out for Cecil, but he doesn't take it, instead he turns back to his friends.
Cecil has never acted like that before.

I sip my milk cartoon.

This atmosphere is very awkward.

" About the project, what time should I come?" I look to Simon.

His jaw is flexing as he eats his food and veins pop against his skin every time he picks up his spork.

He's honestly a fine chiseled piece of ass. He finally looks up.

I hope he didn't notice I've been eye-raping him for a good minute.

"Saturday at twelve."

"Kay."

We finish out lunch with small talk and some unpleasant silences.

I'm at the Lacrosse game now. I'm sitting towards the front, but at the end of the bleachers.Currently we are winning, with Cecil scoring five points. Girls, moms, and benched teammates shout to the players. It's a very interesting sport, I wonder why I never asked Cecil about it. I watch the game and catch up on homework.

"Go Cecil go!" People shout as Cecil tries for another goal.

It's nice to see him in his element.

I continue doing my homework and keep score of the game too.

"Come on ladies! Push it!" I turn around on the bleacher to see on the right, next to the parking lot, guys playing soccer in a field.

There in school athletic uniforms, so clearly they go here. What catches my eye is the flash of jet black hair.

It's Simon.

I didn't know he played soccer. It seems to be tryouts because the coach keeps calling them degrading names.
