"How about this one? It looks nice." A blue dress is flung over the door and I quickly grab it to inspect.

It has some type of woven texture with a simple fit and flare style. It's okay, but next.

My mom and I are currently looking at dresses for Jake's party. We've literally been in changing room after changing rooms all day. It's getting tiring.I told her I got invited and its mandatory I come. I'm nervous as what he'd do if I didn't show up.

Honestly, I don't care to find out.

So we went to the mall to try and find something for Friday. I only have today to shop since tomorrow is Thursday and I have to help Simon with chemistry that day. We have created a schedule for all the things he needs to work on. I've already done a tutoring for math and he seems to get it really well now.

He passed his pop quiz with my help. I'm not trying to brag but I know it's my doing that he passed with a solid B-minus.

"Andy, what about this? I like it!"She throws over another dress. It's cream colored with a lace design. It seems a little too wedding dress for me. I groan at yet another unflattering dress tossed my way;Shopping certainly isn't easy.

See, it sucks not having girl friends because shopping with your mom is a lot more difficult then with people my own age.

She's going to keep throwing me these age appropriate dresses.

I need something sexy but still classy. What she's passing is just old lady who needs a makeover and possibly The Wendy Show to help her out.

"Mom, why don't we stop? We can eat or something, anything but this."

"Andy, isn't this what we came for?" My mom and I aren't ones to frequent the mall. I'm more of an online shopper while she's good with wearing the same four outfits until they die.

"It is. Aren't you hungry though? Let's grab something then we can continue after. We can't shop running on empty. "

"Alright, but I get to choose what we're eating."

"You hold the money so it's fine. "

We leave the changing room in Nordstrom, then head to the food court. Mom ends up picking some Chinese place for us to eat. She gets teriyaki chicken and fried rice while I go for steamed rice and vegetables.

"So Andy, tell me what's going on with you and Simon. "

I thought this might surface at some point. I take a deep breath in and close my eyes to feel for the words I should say.

"We broke up. "I causally answer her. It's about time I tell her the truth.

"I knew it!" She shouts, pointing a chopstick at my face. "I knew something was up!"

"Okay, mom. Yes, we broke up." She squeals like a pig, scrunching up her body in bliss.

"I feel so giddy! It's your first heart break!"

Wow mom, you're happy for me? All over a break up? She bounces up in her chair, shaking the small table that holds our meals.

"Mom..."

"It's just that Mandy is the one who's been dating, dealing with breaks up, and I can't believe that you have too!"

"Alright mom." The questions keep flowing out of her mouth.

"Why though? You guys were so good together. I liked him a lot." she slurps on her drink with a glum look.

"It wasn't him mom, it was me. "
