"Why the fuck are you going out with Simon?!" Cecil demands, as soon as I'm seated next to him at the lunch table.

The word has gotten out pretty quickly about Simon becoming my boyfriend. I can't believe people are showing an interest in this. All through second and third period, eyes have been watching my every move, as if I'm supposed to become some new person since he's now my boyfriend. Could they think I'll become prettier or suddenly have a burst of confidence to stand up to the stupidity of those girls?

That's really touching if it's true.

"He asked me, so I said yes."

That's what going out is, Cecil.

"I get that, but why'd you say yes?"

Why'd I say yes? I don't know, maybe because it's the first time a guy's asked me out and shows an interest in the real me? Also, he was the guy I had a massive crush on for about three years!

"I used to like him Cecil." This should give him a big clue to why.

"Yeah, used to." He whispers.

Why is this bugging him so much? I mean, I can get a boyfriend if I want just like I can make friends. It's by choice that I don't though.

Wish I did.

I get why he whispered, Simon approaches the table.

"Hey." From now on I should initiate the conversation.

"Hey Andrea." He sits down besides me this time.

I glance at him, he's not looking at me, but instead, starts eating.Cecil gets up from the table, walks over to the trash bins and throws his food away. He doesn't come back.He silently leaves the lunchroom without another word, or an explanation why.

That's strange.

"Simon?"

"Andrea, are you okay with dating me? Like for real?" Simon quickly adverts what I was planning on asking him.

"Yeah, why?" Is he going to back out or something? That'd be sad, we've only been dating for two class periods and haven't seen each other since history class

"Because I seriously want to date you. This is, well this was, not just from earlier. I've wanted to date you, but I felt things may be going to fast.." He finally looks up, his stern face not kidding with me.

He's wanted to date me? He could've said it earlier.

"I do to."

"Great. What should we do first, have sex?" He has an earnest face still.

What? No, never I'm not ready, down there for that! I can't that's, that's not clean?

"Um, I um that's not...." What should I do? This is super fast.

He breaks out in laughter, getting the whole lacrosse team's eyes on us.

"I'm joking with you, Andrea!"

Oh.

"Heh okay." I can feel my face redden from the actual thought of agreeing to this.

God, naive much?

'We can hang out this weekend. That sounds good?" He grins at me, creating dimples on his cheeks.

I want to stick a pencil in them.

"Sure." I smile myself, closing my eyes.

I'm so happy.

Abruptly, lips kiss the side of my cheek. They're rough like a guy's, but they're a tiny bite soft.I look at Simon who nonchalantly crunches into a taco.
