Chapter 45

I sat up with a start, something had woken me up and I didn't like that, I was still sleepy. I heard my door open, and Daddy started walking in, I whined and rubbed my eyes letting my teddies fall out of my hands, I gasped and reached for them, cuddling both teddies to make them feel better. "Good morning, Cali, did you have a good nap?" I was picked up and I laid my head down on daddy's shoulder nodding my head and yawning. "I'm sorry if the loud noise startled you, they were supposed to stay quiet." I picked my head and looked at him "Why?" I asked. Daddy smiled at me, "We are putting together a surprise for you in the next room." A surprise? What's a surprise? He must have seen the look on my face, "A surprise Baby, it means something good is coming for you. Let's get you all changed and then we can head downstairs and see if Chef Fred has a snack for you, then after your snack hopefully your surprise is ready."

Daddy laid me down on the changing table and got me all clean again, then picked me up and started heading downstairs. Once we got to the kitchen he headed straight for Chef Fred, "Hey Fred, have you got a little snack for Cali here?" Chef Fred turned around and smiled so big, it looked like his head was going to fall off he was smiling so much. "Oh, of course, I got some cheese cubes, a little bit of lunchmeat, some crackers and to top it off some of Cali's favorites, Strawberries!" I giggled and stretched my arm out for the plate Chef Fred produced, I could only use one hand though because my other hand was holding both teddies.

Daddy chuckled and grabbed the plate, "Here baby, I'll carry it to the table for you, Thank you very much Fred." I watched my plate as Daddy walked back into the dining room and set it down on the table. He was quick to sit on the chair and settle me on his lap, "I think just for snack time, it's okay for you to stay on my lap." I nodded and went to grab a strawberry. "Hold on their Cali, can we put your teddies on the chair next to us while we are heading?" Daddy gently grabbed the hand that had been reaching for the strawberry, he held it while he waited for me to think, when I nodded, he let go of my hand and took my teddies when I handed them to him. My teddies were set on the chair right next to us and I could still see them, I sighed in relief that they were still so close, I looked at Daddy and smiled. He smiled at me "Thank you Babygirl, you can eat your snack now." I nodded and grabbed a strawberry stuffing the whole thing in my mouth. He chuckled "Slow done honey, no one is going to take it, that's all for you." I gave daddy a big nod of my head and smiled up at him, I felt the strawberry juice run out of my mouth, Daddy quickly grabbed a napkin and wiped off my face, "Silly girl, you have to swallow before you open your mouth."

Once I was all done eating my snack, I leaned back onto daddy and patted my belly, it was poking out and felt kind of hard. I looked up at Daddy and poked my belly, "I see your belly Baby, that means you ate a lot, I'm so proud of you!" Daddy was proud of me? I smiled a big cheesy smile at him, Daddy smiled back at me, then reached over for my teddies, he handed them to me, and I clutched them in one arm, while daddy stood up and settled me on his hip, "Alright, let's go see this surprise, Babygirl." I nodded my head and said "Surprise?" "Good job, baby, yes, surprise!"

Daddy walked us upstairs and walked to the room on the other side of where my bedroom was. He knocked on the closed door "Princess Cali is ready to see her surprise, are we all set?" I heard muffled voices and then I think it was Papa said "Yes, come on in, Princess Cali!" I was set down on my feet and Daddy smiled at me, "Alright, 3,2,1!" He pushed the door open, and my jaw dropped, it was an indoor playground! I was in awe and just stared at everything, there was so many awesome looking things to play on, and there was a cute little house, with a slide and a tunnel, a ball pit, Mommy, and a couple of cars, like the ones I had outside, but these didn't look like they had pedals, wait Mommy! I looked back at her and started running straight for her, "Mommy!" I ran into her arms, and she gave me a big hug and kissed the top of my head. I gave her a big hug and then looked up at her, "Play?" I wanted her to play with me now! Mommy laughed and nodded her head, "Yes Sweet girl let's play!" 

Happy Almost July 4th everyone! 

can you imagine an indoor playground?!? must be so awesome! :) 

Also, what do you all think of the new cover? like it? hate it? want the old cover back? want a completely new cover? I'm open to suggestions lol.
