I sprinted to Kyle's room ready to tell him that I wanted to audition for the cheerleading team! I knocked on the door. Our rooms were together, joined by a door so we could go to each other's room without having to leave the room. I walked from my closet and across the room to get to that door.

I opened the door with a huge grin on my face, but I screeched the moment I saw him making out with Elina! "EW!!!!" I shouted. My hands flew to my eyes. "Oh My Gosh please lock this door as well when you wanna do anything! Gross!!" I said turning around to leave.

"Don't be over-dramatic Kia! What's up?" he asked. I turned around to see him lying on the bed and Elina giving me an apologetic look. "Don't be sorry El. I dug my own grave when I walked into the room unannounced. Anyways, I came here to tell you that I am going to audition for cheerleading," I said smiling.

He got up from his bed and hugged me. "Wow, you finally found something to keep you occupied. Good Job Kiara," he smirked. I punched hard on his shoulder. "Hey No hitting the Captain of the Football team!" He shouted stepping away from me. "Who would you cheer for if your favourite player is hurt?" he asked. "FYI you are not my favourite player. And you have your Girlfriend to cheer for you," I pointed out.

As if on cue Elina launched herself at me. "You are going to be on my team?" she shouted. "El, I have to audition," I laughed. "Well I am the captain you are in," she said. "You will not be unfair. I will audition," she frowned. "But that doesn't mean you can't help me prepare for it," I said as she smiled. She got up and pulled me up with her. "Let's go!" she squealed.

"HEY! What about me?" he asked. "Go do something else," Elina snapped as we walked into my room and she slammed the door. I laughed at Kyle's baby face which was angry and confused.

"So what help do you need?" she asked. "I don't. I will do great I just said that so you wouldn't be upset," I smiled. "So excited about the first day of school?" she asked sitting on my bed. I laughed. "There is nothing to be excited about El, It's going to be the same as every other year, just this is going to be the last year of high school. We will go to school sit at our popular table, have to deal with Cindy be a pain in the butt, then the year goes on with school, prom and exams," I said lying down.

"Okay, Boring! What if you find someone!" she squealed. Gosh, how was I supposed to tell her that my life was not a fairytale-like hers? I still remember their story as if it was yesterday. They both were friends since kindergarten, grew up having crushes on each other and he finally asked her out. Perfect. Their story was just perfect.

I was happy for them. My best friend and my twin brother? I wouldn't have wanted any other girl for him. They both completed each other. But every time I see them I feel lonely. I understand that they both need to have their special time but I am not exactly an extrovert. I sighed.

I wanted to have the perfect Love story of my own. I dreamt of the day having that special feeling with someone. Someone asking me out. But I was 18 and not a single person had ever asked me out. I don't know but that made me feel insecure. I started going to the gym, eating less and now I am following a diet, I started using make-up. But all to vail.
