Third Person POV:
"Why won't you tell her?" Allisa asked as she saw one of her very close friends leave. "Don't start," he said. "No Asher, it's been 7 fucking years, have guts and tell her you fucking love her!" she shouted.
"I don't fucking love anyone, okay? Stop nagging!" he said frustrated. Everyone fell silent before Asher smashed the vase that was on the stand loudly on the ground. "Yeah, take your anger out," Blake said.
"If you all don't shut the fuck up I will smash it on your head," he growled. "Asher, stop tracking her," Christian said out of nowhere. "I know you still are tracking her," he said. "It's none of your business," he shouted.
"No, tell me, are you just plain stupid or do you have no heart?" Allisa asked. "She is still wearing the stupid necklace you gave her, you idiot!" she said to him, making him look at her. "I swear to god I am going to get her married in a month," she said walking out of there.
Asher walked to his office slamming the door shut. He threw his gun and wallet on the table in frustration as he sat on the chair. He looked at the wallet and the photo in it.
Him and Her.
The only picture he had of them that he had protected so much as if he was protecting her. He picked it out gently rubbing his thumb over her face. He wanted her so bad. She had changed so much. She was bold, smart, kind, and even more beautiful. But she was still weak and the reason was him. And he hated that.
It was yesterday he had killed twelve people without any remorse and today when he saw her drive up to his house he was so mesmerized. When he thought back to the ball and the way she was with that fucking asshole. The way she smiled at him, the way he took care of her and kissed her.
He wanted to burn him alive. But she looked so happy with him. She was smiling and that was all that mattered. After all that happened today and how it only took a minute of conversation with him for her to cry made it clear he was no good for her but he still wanted to be.
The door opened and Asher was about to scream at the person when he saw a little head pop in and a smile on his face as he rushed in falling on Asher's lap. "Uncle," he screamed, hugging Asher. Asher sighed, pulling him closer to himself. He was the only one Asher cared about right now. The only one he couldn't hurt or see cry.
"How is my little guy doing?" Asher asked him. "You know I met someone today and she also called me the same," he said grinning. "Is it? Who took my nickname?" Asher asked him. "Auntie Kiara, she even brought me a big chocolate," he grinned. But Asher's face turned into a frown.
He reached for Asher's wallet and looked at the picture before looking at him. "OOOOO" he shouted, smiling at Asher. "Is that your wife?" he asked, making Asher start choking. "WHAT?" Asher asked him. "Dad has a picture of me and Mom and him in his wallet, so I thought she was your wife," he said thinking hard.
"Can I tell you a secret?" Asher said and he looked at him grinning. "You promise not to tell anyone okay?" Asher said. He nodded, bringing his ear closer to Asher as he put his little palm around it. "That was your auntie Kiara when we were in high school," Asher whispered as he looked at Asher, shocked, putting his hand on his mouth.
"She is your wife?" He whispered loudly, making Asher laugh. "Why doesn't she stay with us?" he looked at Asher, still whispering loudly. "Because she is mad at your uncle," Asher said. He looked like he was thinking something before smiling at Asher.
"I have an idea, she loves me, I will make her love you," he smiled. Asher gave him a fist bump as he ran out of the room. Asher stared at the picture a little longer before closing his wallet, opening his laptop going back to work.
