Two weeks. It's been two weeks and we both have been avoiding each other like plague. I thought being away from him would help me get over this stupid crush I have started developing but God was I wrong. Everyone in the group seemed okay with us not talking to each other. It was way better than us throwing insults.
I was currently in English and I was going through my analysis of the essay I had received. The person was very mysterious and very interesting. It was like they either didn't believe in love or they were trying hard not to. I went over it once again intrigued by the way they thought that Romeo and Juliet was just a great piece of literature and nothing else. According to him they were stupid to fall in love and proved that this stupidity resulted in their death.
Well, I did agree with some of it but not all of it! My analysis was also ready and I went through it once. When someone sat beside me. I knew who it was and I continued reading through my work. When someone walked past my desk dropping the folder onto the ground.
"Oops sorry didn't see you there," said a squeaky voice. I rolled my eyes. Sure she didn't. "Better get your eyes checked Cindy you don't see an entire person? What's wrong with you?" I asked in a sickly sweet voice. "Oh Kiara my eyesight is perfect I intentionally ignore ugly things," she said smirking. I took in a deep breath. "So you ignore yourself?" I asked.
I could hear some snickers. "Whatever, b*tch," she said before turning to Asher. "Ashy," she said purring. A placed a hand on my mouth so I wouldn't burst out laughing. He just ignored her working on his paper. Her hand rested on his biceps as she started talking about something. I tuned her out and focused on my work. 5 minutes to class.
"Can you fu*king leave?" Asher snapped making me look over at the two people beside me again. "But baby.." she whined. Asher glared at her angrily and she strutted away. A chuckle escaped my lips and his dark green eyes found mine. "What's so fu*king funny?" He snapped. I was taken off guard. I didn't know he would talk to me. I shook my head no and looked away.
The teacher walked in just in time. "So kids, I hope you are done with your analysis. I would like you to email it to me right now so then I could finally tell you whose essay is that you just analyzed. Come chop-chop send me the emails you have got 2 minutes," she said sitting behind her desk and opening her laptop.
I immediately sent mine to her and people did the same. "Okay, now that I have received all of them you will see a small paper taped to your desk on the lower side. Take it out and sit with your partner," she announced. I found the paper and opened it slowly.
ASHER KING.
What? I read it again. It was his paper that I was reading? WOW. The way he explained the play and his thoughts were impressive. Looked like he had a lot of knowledge of literature! But the only thing was that he had a problem with the romantic part of it. I slowly looked beside me to see him staring at the paper in anger.
OH NO! OH NO! He read my paper! My thoughts were not exactly what I would anybody to see or hear! Great! After reading my essay it wouldn't need a genius to figure out how much I hated the concept of letting go! Just because you can't have the person you love doesn't mean you have to let go!
