Kiara's POV :

We walked into this immaculate hall filled with so many people. Every man was in a suit that was fucking expensive and every lady was draped in expensive gowns adorning jewels around their necks, ears, and hands. I could feel some eyes on us as I grabbed Asher's hand tightly. "King," we heard a deep voice and I turned to my left to find Everly standing with her ex-husband. She looked amazing but she was scowling. "Knightley," Asher said shaking his hugging him. That was a shock. "College buddies," Everly said rolling her eyes before pulling me in for a hug.

"Thank god, I was getting so fucking bored already," she chuckled. "Kiara, it's finally nice to put a face to a name I have been hearing about for years," he said smirking at Ash. I took his hand giving him a small smile. "All good things I hope," I chuckled. "You had him pining on you for years, man couldn't get you out of his head. Good to know you put an end to his suffering," he chuckled. "Shut the fuck up before I break your face, Adam," Asher growled pulling me back to him.

"Clingy, I like him," Everly smirked wiggling her eyebrows at me. "You don't like when I'm clingy," Adam grumbled. "I don't like You," she scowled at him. "Okay, we are gonna go grab drinks," I said kissing Asher's cheek and grabbing her before Adam threw a tantrum. I saw him glare at me but Adam started grumbling something taking his eyes off me and they started drinking.

"So, Asher, huh," she smirked. "Shut up, you are the one talking," I glared playfully at her before grabbing two glasses of champagne. That we both downed in a go. "God, I don't know about you but how the fuck did we end up back with our first love like that," she said. "Baby, ex-husband for you," I sighed grabbing two more glasses. "You happy?" I asked handing her the glass. "I don't wanna be heartbroken again, he is just getting back to his life, I didn't know me leaving would turn him into that," she sighed glancing at him. He was not paying attention to whatever the conversation between those men was he was staring at her. My eye moved to Asher was looking at me too. His face was scary but his eye held the softness as he looked at me. I smiled at him and winked before downing my drink.

"Well, here's to giving everything another try," I said as she handed me our third glass and we clinged it. "Ladies, you seem to be enjoying the evening," an old man said walking up to us. He looked like he was in his late 50s with a girl younger than us hanging on his arm. "You can fuck off," Everly rolled her eyes. "You have some nerve talking to me like that beautiful, maybe I can fuck that attitude out of you," he said chuckling.

"I swear to god don't make me punch you," I said standing up and grabbing Everly. As soon as I turned around he grabbed my arm and I turned around trying to keep calm but my eyes were on us and I was starting to get tipsy. Before I could do anything Asher had punched the guy in the face. "You fucker," Asher threw another one. There were other men that came in and Adam was throwing a punch too and before we knew a gunshot was heard.

I stood my ground Eve still standing next to me. "What the fuck is going on?" We heard a voice a thick European accent. An old yet really attractive man walked in. "King. Knightley of," he said chuckling. "Get back to mingling guys it's a party," he said raising his glass before Adam and Asher stood in front of him. "Moretti," they both said before he pulled them in for a hug. "My troublesome kids," he said slapping them on the back. Asher and Adam chuckled hugging him back. "You should come see our old uncle," he laughed. "You are having the time of your life," "We don't want to intrude," Adam and Asher smirked.

"I can see you have your hands full too, I haven't seen you guys be issued over a lady in a while," He said walking to us. Asher walked to me hoding my waist and narrowed his eyes at me. "Kiara Wilder," I said extending my hand and he shook it. "Gionavi Moretti, beautiful as seen in pictures," he chuckled. "Everly, nice to see you decided to make him human again," Everly hugged him smiling. "So nice to see you again, Gionavi, you haven't aged in years," she smiled. "Stop flattering me, also I need to apologize that you had to experience that dick," he said.
