Although Malfoy Manor was normally a frigidly gloomy place, there was always two times a year where it felt like a real home. The annual Malfoy Ball and then Christmas.

Narcissa adored these events; not only because she loved dancing and the holidays, but because it was the only time that Lucius truly allowed her to decorate the manor freely to her liking. If it were up to Lucius there would be no ball or any type of decorations for holidays.

Sky, Rayleigh, and Pansy loved helping Narcissa; there was something that attracted them to the fancier side of things. Draco was never too fond of the ball, especially the first one he ever had to attend when he was forced to dance with Sky.

Now that the manor seemed to always be full of kids, Narcissa used it to her advantage on not using magic, to feel normal like muggles sometimes. She would make the boys carry all of the decorations into the foyer and separate them by which room they belonged to. Lucius made sure to work late at the ministry so he didn't have to participate in any of the preparations.

"Blaise, take those boxes right there to the dining room for me," Narcissa told him with a bright smile

Blaise knew not to argue but he wanted to ask, "Yes ma'am. Why exactly aren't we using magic or the elves for this stuff? Isn't that one of the purposes?"

A slight chuckle left her lips, "It is, but I've always loved doing this myself and now that you children are old enough to help, I figured it would be fun for all of us to do it together. You are all my children in a sense since you're always here and have been around long enough that you've claimed bedrooms here."

"Fair enough. I'll take these to the dining room now," Blaise grabbed a few boxes and took them to the dining room that didn't have a table or anything.

One thing about Narcissa is she always made sure the manor was practically empty before she started decorating so nothing got in the way. Lucius' office was the only room that never got decorated so in retaliation to that, Narcissa ensured that's where all the furniture would be until the decorations were done and everything needed to be moved back. He knew never to argue with her since she controlled the atmosphere in the manor and knew she would make his life hell.

As the hours passed, the manor was finally finished just how Narcissa envisioned it. The guys had great bosses as the girls instructed them where every decoration went and made sure it was perfect. The only magic Narcissa used was to make every chandelier in every room huge with many diamonds and shined endlessly.

Sky admired everything Narcissa has ever done to the manor to make it feel like a true home. In a little more than two months Sky will be going on one of the most dangerous missions she's ever heard of. She's not worried about herself, but her best friend, sister, and Draco. She hopes Mattheo can keep both Draco and Pansy afloat until the mission is over.

"We're going to take these boxes back to storage then we can all go to Diagon Alley to find some lunch," Draco shouted while picking up boxes

Narcissa wrapped her arm around Sky's shoulder, "Everything will be just fine honey."

"I hope so. I worry that something is going to go wrong just like every other time. I just hope that everything I'm doing to help Draco will work keep him going"

Narcissa hugged her tightly, "Sweetie, stop worrying, Lucius will be close by every so often, making sure you're safe."

Before Sky could respond Draco and the rest of the guys reappeared, "You okay love?" Draco asked her

"Yeah, I just don't feel great. I'm going to skip out on lunch today. Go without me, I'm going to lay down."

"I'll stay with you and we can relax."
