I came downstairs to find Dexter and Marla sitting at the kitchen island, eating a bowl of cereal. They were still in their pajamas, and their hair was a mess which meant they had just woken up. Dexter propped his head on his hand while eating. My cousin wasn't a morning person whatsoever.

I grabbed a container of orange juice from the fridge when Ricardo graced us with his presence, dressed in a tee shirt and shorts. He strolled toward the coffeemaker and brewed a pot of coffee.

"How are you so awake?" Marla asked us.

I walked over and slid on an empty seat beside Dexter. "It's easy when you wake up early."

Dexter grunted while he ate.

"Unlike my cousin, who hates mornings." I smirked.

"Excuse me for not being used to sleeping in. It's not like you get many opportunities when you're raising a toddler." Dexter gave me an annoyed look.

"So what were you two doing that kept you from rising and shining?" I asked.

"We spent most of the night talking. Well, Dexter talked. I tried to sleep," Marla said.

"I thought you were sleeping in separate areas?"

"We were until Dexter claimed my bed to talk to me until the wee hours of the morning."

I glanced at Dexter. "Aren't you quite the chatterbox?"

Dexter shrugged. "I'm utilizing my time with an adult conversation that doesn't involve Disney princesses."

I snickered.

Ricardo joined us at the island and drank his coffee.

"How are you up so early?" Dexter asked me.

"I took a walk and stumbled upon Ricardo swimming in the lake. Then the jerk threw me into the water while in my clothes." I gave Ricardo an annoyed look.

"You shouldn't have followed me." Ricardo shrugged.

I shook my head.

"Any word of when we can go home?" Marla asked.

"Not yet. Brady will call me when the coast is clear. Until then, we're stuck here," Ricardo said.

We sighed. It's not that we didn't enjoy getting stuck in a cabin together. Okay, that's a lie. We prefer not to get stuck with each other. Hanging out is fine, but it doesn't give you much alone time.

I would need to work on that.

*******
Grayson

I woke up early, got ready, and wandered the house because I got lost. How the hell do people find anything here? It's like you need a map.

I blew air past my lips and ran my hand through my hair when Nash spotted me.

"Thank god I found someone," Nash said, approaching me.

"I see I'm not the only one trying to figure out this maze." I gestured around my surroundings.

"I will never understand why people need a massive house like this one." Nash shook his head in disbelief.

"It happens when people are trying to off you." I shrugged.

Nash rolled his eyes. "Thanks for the visual, Gray."

"No problem, Nashville." I smirked.

Nashe glared at me. He should know better than to call me Gray.
