Chapter fifteen:

Jane's P.O.V:

I was so excited for the trip! Even though I wanted to go to Hawaii but it was Gabby's turn to pick and she wanted to go to whistler. We were only going for five days. Three days in whistler and two days in Vancouver. Gabby and Fran weren't answering their phones. I knew something was up, but I didn't want to seem like that overbearing friend that needs to hangout with the all the time and freaks out when they don't pick up their phones. I couldn't seem to find any of my sweaters anywhere! But when I was looking found Gabby's phone charger. I knew she needed it for the trip. So I decided to drop it off. I suddenly remembered how that there is that guy that can change powers and everything. I had lots of money and my power isn't that lame. Maybe we could make a deal, just like I could have a better power and he can take mine. I know Gabby really needs me and my power right now. But with the power to read minds or to be invisible. That could help even more! I didn't want to tell Gabby cause she would just be all logical and talk me out of it. But I knew I could talk to Fran, like she was just so understanding, she wouldn't judge you or anything. But I knew she would be like Gabby's needs you though and everything. Honestly since Demi went missing and Gabby needed to fix everything, me and Fran have just been pulled into everything. And sometimes I feel like Gabby forgets about us, like she literally told us knowing it would out us in danger. I saw Fran's car pulled into Gabby's drive way. What was she doing here? Like seriously I hate it when they hangout with out me! Like yeah I've done it before but sometimes I just really needed to talk to one of them, cause both out them together is just like! I don't know! They usually think the same so they'll like team up on me. I honestly didn't feel like seeing them. I just decided to go home and do more re-search about the man with the power things.

Gabby's P.O.V:

Fran needed to take a shower, cause her brother used all the hot in their house. I could literally feel my heart sink as I pulled up the box. There had to be more to this than this box and letter. Usually people when they mail something they'll leave their address on it. But it seemed like they did but it was coloured over with sharpie. I heard someone drive into my driveway. I quickly ran outside, I was terrified! I didn't even recognize the car. The car then quickly drove away, like the person saw me or something. I ran back inside, I didn't know what to do. "Hey" I heard a voice say near the stairs. I jumped when I heard that, "gabby where's your hair dryer?" Fran's asked, "umm under the sink" I said running my hands through my hair, "are you alright? I heard the door slam" Fran said while sitting on the edge of the couch, "nothing nothing" I said trying to cover up the box with the blanket, "what are you hiding?" Fran said looking over at the blanket, "nothing! Just go dry you hair" I said, "if you say so" Fran said while walking up stairs. I quickly hid the box and everything under the couch. I honestly didn't even want to go on the trip anymore. I was so close to finding everything out. But the note said to stop searching or next time it will be Demi's head. I needed to see Linda again. But she's probably gone now and I'm leaving tonight. Maybe I could make up a excuse to go back to Joe's coffee and like ask the manager or something for her number. Cause if she was a regular they should have her number somewhere. I looked at my phone. My ringer was off no wonder I had like ten missed calls from Jane. "Hello?" I said into the phone trying to contact Jane. "Oh now you call me back" Jane said, "sorry my ringer was off and I needed to pack" I said twirling my hair with my finger, "sure! But do you know where Fran is? I need to talk to her" Jane snapped, she's with me! And what's with all the attitude?!" I snapped back, "I don't know! It's just you take forever to call me back and you never invite me anymore to hangout with you guys!" Jane yelled, "you know what! Go on your trip with Fran! I'll stay here!" I yelled while hanging up. God sometimes Jane can get really annoying. Like I remember one year it was like what was going on with her. I know he boyfriend broke up with her but one day she'll be fine and actually happy but he next day she'll ditch me and say she won't be my friend any,re and then the next day she acts like nothing happened! I told Fran I'm not going, she was actually pretty understanding, since I go to whistler every year sometimes even more. But Jane wouldn't let it go. She kept texting and trying to call me saying she is sorry. I gave Fran a hug before she left. Perfect five days just for me time. No friend drama and no Zayn and Harry to worry about. I was actually pretty happy, I called the airline to get my money back and Fran said she'll pay me back the hotel money and she'll get me some clothes from Vancouver. Plus I had time to find out more about that Linda girl. I curled up into my blanket, with the new book Harry got me it was "Warm Bodies". The movie we watched on our first date. I never knew it was actually based on a book. I know I had the book for like a week and I should be at least half way done. But i was only on the second chapter, but I'm such a slow reader it takes me months and months to finish a book. I heard a knock on the door. It wasn't a normal knock it was mine and Jane's secrete lock that we made up together. "I know you're in there!" She yelled, "I'm coming in!" She added while screwing around with the door knob. "Stop it!" I yelled while opening the door, "you're gonna break the door knob" i said annoyed, "why aren't you going on the trip?!" She yelled, "why do you!?" I snapped, "so you are just gonna stay home?!" Jane said, "yes! Now leave" I said closing the door, "no!" Jane said while putting her foot to block me from closing the door. "Leave!" I said closing the door on her foot, "ouuuch!" I heard Jane yelled through the door. "Gabby!" Jane said pounding on the door. I didn't say anything hoping that she would leave. Suddenly I heard Jane knocking on the window! God couldn't she just leave me alone. She was the one being all sassy when I was just trying to be nice. I quickly ran up stairs. I woke up hours later, still my book on my lap, phone and laptop right beside me. I quickly looked through my texts. Most of them from Jane saying how I'm selfish for leaving her outside but after a couple of those texts most of them said of how sorry she was and how it won't be the same without. It was 8:30pm the plane had already left. I looked at my laptop and noticed how Harry tried to Skype me hours ago. I tried to call back but there was no answer. "Hey, I'm not going on a trip I have stuff to do and Jane is being annoying and mean so yeah :/ just thought I'll let you know. Xoxo" I texted Harry. I knew he wouldn't reply right away since he was probably in a interview right now or something. I made a quick dinner and watched some movies and read like two chapters of my book. I eventually fell asleep. It was 1:30pm when I got up, today's the day when I go see Linda again.
