Another Time, Another Place

New Roles

Lexa was up early the next morning, planning another surprise, for her future bride. The throne, she has asked to be made, was finally done and would sit beside hers in the throne room. She took two guards with her, to collect it and bring it to the throne room. It was then set in place, for today's meetings.

Now she had to find a replacement for Clarke, as the Skaikru representative. Raven was the obvious choice, with her and Octavia's relationship, it's the perfect excuse for her to remain in Polis and Lexa also wanted to commission her tech skills. Raven also showed leadership skills, Lexa had to admit, when her wife saved them it was always with the help of Raven, more so than Bellamy, who quite often got the recognition, and no-one could argue about her intelligence. Lexa had to admit, though Raven liked to tease her, she had grown very fond of her future wife's sister. She would go as far as to say, she was probably one of her closer friends.

Lexa rushed off to the room Octavia and Raven shared, and made a mental note, to offer them a room in the family wing, of the tower.  Lexa knocked on the door and Raven answered not long after.

"Hi Raven," Lexa said hoping she would except the offer.

"Hey Lex, what's up?" Raven asked. "Come in, we are just having breakfast. Octavia's going to start training me as a warrior."

"Sorry to interrupt your breakfast,"Lexa said walking in to the room. "Hi O."

"Hi Lexa." Octavia said

"It's great that you guys are training, just don't get distracted like Clarke and I did. She is a skilled warrior, because of Anya's training, I taught her a couple of things, but we really struggled to keep our hands off one another." Lexa smirked. "If you need some help training, I'm sure Clarke would love to help, she worries about Raven in battle, all the time, you really are her sister, you know. Or I would be happy to help. Not that I think Octavia couldn't do an amazing job, it's just hard to fight someone you are in love with."

"Thanks Lexa, we will let you know." Octavia smiled knowing that Raven will distract her.

"Well that is not what I was here for. I am here because with our marriage, Clarke becomes Hedatu, meaning she is my equal and a decision maker, I ordered her a throne and it was finished yesterday. I just took some guards to collect it and install it in the throne room. This leaves a spot open as Skaikru ambassador, and I would like to offer the position to you first Raven, also Raven I want to commission your tech skills. Octavia I also have decided to promote you, to one of my top generals, when not at war, you will be in charge of Clarke's protection. Is that something you would be interested in?" Lexa said.

"Wow, Lexa, I don't know what to say, it would be my honour to protect Hedatu, thank you for considering me." Octavia said.

"Octavia, you deserve it you have become one of the best warriors and I know you will protect my wife, with your life and you won't let her push you around, so she won't be able to get into dangerous situations, without help." Lexa laughed.

"That's our Clarke," Raven said and Octavia and Lexa nodded smirking.

"What about you Raven?" Lexa asked.

"I am willing to give it a try, Lexa but to be honest politics is more Clarke's and Bellamy's arena. I know Bellamy is not an option but I don't know if I will be a good option, but we will give it a try." Raven said.

"That is all I am asking, and if it doesn't work out, I will make you my Tech advisor, so you have a reason to stay in Polis." Lexa offered.

"Thank you, I would appreciate that role, but we will try this first." Raven smiled.

"Ok we have a meeting after lunch, I will announce everything then, so please both be there. Also we will be discussing the Skaikru's prisoners fate. I am sorry Octavia, I can't save Bellamy, he kidnapped who everyone thought was Clarke. I am sure execution will be demanded. I wish there was something I could do." Lexa said sympathetically.
