Proposal with a Bang

Octavia, was waiting for Monty, when they arrived from Arkadia, she hoped he had remembered to bring the supplies, she would need for tonight. She was excited and nervous. Luckily Clarke, had given her the rest of the day off of her guard duties, Clarke, was too busy painting the babies' rooms, and the chamber guards were sufficient, for guarding her.

The Rover finally arrived, with Kane, Monty, Harper, Miller and Brian. Miller and Brian would be staying in Polis Miller was to between Skaikru ambassador.

Octavia ran over to Monty and asked, " Did you bring everything?"

"Hello to you too Octavia, it's nice to see you as well." Monty replied sarcastically.

"Sorry, I'm a little nervous, this is the biggest day of my life." Octavia said, "hello everyone, hope you all had a great trip."

All of the guys murmured hello.

Harper squealed, "oh my god, O, I can't believe you are doing this, I'm so excited for you both." Hugging Octavia.

"Thank you Harper, at least someone gets how important this is." Octavia said hugging Harper back.

"I want details," Harper said, "another two of my good friends getting married. Life is good."

"She hasn't said yes yet," Octavia said her nerves returning.

"She will," Harper assured her.

"Come on Octavia, get in," Monty said, "we might as well get set up now."

Octavia ran to get into the rover and directed Monty where to go. They quickly set off to the spot, it was a beautiful spot surrounded by blossoming trees, that left a carpet of flowers and the softest prettiest scent, it also boasted a beautiful view. In the distance, was a beautiful stream surrounded by wildflowers.

Once Octavia explained how she wanted it, it didn't take long to complete. And the two were soon headed back to Polis.

When they returned, Octavia showed Monty to the babies' rooms, where Clarke had Harper painting base coats for her.

"Clarke," Monty said and ran to hug his friend. "I hear you got an upgrade from princess and you are now the Kwin."

Clarke laughed and said, "yes Lexa went and did it again. My wife is such an overachiever, she had to go and fullfill an ancient prophecy."

"How is Lexa and Caspian?" Monty asked.

"Well Lexa is as amazing, as always, she is just showing Miller what the ambassadors do and Caspian is a sweet angel, mum and Kane are next door with him, he's napping." Clarke gushed.

"He sure has the good life, eat, poop, sleep repeat." Monty joked. "What can I do to help?" Monty asked looking around the room.

"You can help Harper, with the base coats please, that would be amazing." Clarke replied continuing to paint.

Octavia quickly left a note for Raven, saying that Octavia had made plans for them tonight, and could Raven please be dressed in warm semi casual clothes and be ready at 6. Octavia raced around to get the picnic items ready, she also needed to get her bow and an arrow specially designed to be lite on fire. Plus she bought some matches she found. By the time she had everything packed in the rover, ready to go, she had just enough time to shower and prepare in her old room.

It was just before six, when Octavia knocked on the door to the room they normally shared. Octavia quickly double checked she had the rings in her pocket, just as Raven opened the door.

"Well if it isn't my beautiful girlfriend," Raven said kissing Octavia, "where have you been all day I missed you?"

Octavia took Raven's hand, "let me show you."

Octavia led Raven to the Rover and opened the door for her, kissing Raven's cheek, before shutting the door and getting in the driver's seat.

They arrived after dark and Octavia asked Raven to wait in the car, while she set the picnic up.

Octavia quickly laid the blanket out and lit some candles and bought the basket of food and drinks to the blanket. She took her bow and flammable arrow and placed on the front of the rover.

Then she went to Raven's door, opened it and escorted her out to the front of the Rover.

"There is something I want to show you before we eat, Ray." Octavia said kissing Raven's cheek, before lighting the arrow and shooting it at the gunpowder on the ground, that was spread to make the words "marry me" while also shooting off small fireworks.

"O, that was amazing baby, next time let me help you and we will make bigger fireworks." Raven said she couldn't get the grin off of her face.

Octavia kissed Raven passionately "there is something else. Close your eyes." Octavia quickly turned the Rovers lights on, so Raven could read what the gun powder had burnt into the ground. Octavia led Raven to where she could read it, got down on one knee and opened the box with Raven's ring. "You can open your eyes and look at the ground in front of you now babe." Octavia said nervously.

Raven opened her eyes and read "marry me" burnt into the ground, her jaw dropped in shock, then she saw Octavia and collapsed to her knees and kissed her passionately.

"Raven Reyes, my heart is yours, I love you so much, will you marry me?" Octavia said.

"Yes, yes a million times yes. I love you so much." Raven said an Octavia slipped the ring on Ravens finger.

Raven's Ring

Octavia said, "I bought a ring for myself, as well, do you want to do the honours?"

"Yes please," Raven said looking at Octavia with total adoration. "Octavia Blake, I never really knew what love was until you set my heart a blaze. You have woken my heart from its slumber and it only beats for you. I adore you Octavia and I can't wait to be your wife." Raven slipped Octavia's ring in place, then kissed it.

"That was the perfect proposal, O, I can't believe I'm lucky enough to have you in my life, let alone have you wanting to marry me." Raven smiled.

"I am the lucky one, my love, never forget how amazing you are, in fact I will remind you every day for the rest of my life. I love you so much Ray, you deserve the world." Octavia said kissing Raven passionately.

The two spent the night making their own fireworks.
