"What's wrong? Why aren't you moving?" Iseul looks at Jaeyun in confusion. As soon as she said she wanted to go to the haunted house, that boy froze on his spot. She chuckles, "Don't tell me.. you're scared?"
Jaeyun shakes his head, "No, I'm not! I was just wondering whether we really should go there. I heard the seniors are in charge of the haunted house and they're kinda aggressive, I'm worried they might overdo it and scare you—"
"I don't. I never went to haunted houses because every year, they had really long lines and I didn't have that much energy to stand for hours but now, I want to try it. If you don't want to, it's okay we can try something else," Iseul continues to walk.
"We should go to the haunted house, it must be fun! Let's go before the long line!" Jaeyun nods and walks beside her.
She's not wrong. When she said they had really long lines, IT'S LONG. Seeing how long it is, Iseul feels like giving up on it. Does she really need to wait for this? It's better worth her time.
"Is that Iseul?"
"Omg, who's beside her? He's so handsome!"
"Should I ask for a photo? I saw her on someone's instagram, she looks better in person!"
"Her skin is perfect, I want that."
"Erm hi.. can I ask for a photo with you? But is he your boyfriend? If yes, sorry for interrupting you guys.."
"We're just friends. It's okay, let's take a selfie," Iseul gestured to the boy to stand beside her before both of them pose for the camera while his friend held the camera.
Jaeyun rolls his eyes, distancing himself from them so that he won't be in the photo. Oh wow, I actually dislike the fact she's getting known by people.
"Do you want to go to the haunted house too, Iseul?"
"Yeah,"
"Oh! You can take our place! It might take awhile to wait so,"
"Wait— it's okay," Iseul crosses her hands as a no when Jaeyun grabs her, pulling her to the front.
"We should be thankful they allowed us to cut the line so let's enjoy the haunted house, okay?" Jaeyun smiles before they enter the dark room.
The door behind them closed and the room only lit up with a red light. Iseul walks first, leaving Jaeyun behind and he immediately runs to catch up with her, walking right behind her. He looks around, almost let out a scream when he steps on a skeleton but he reminds himself that he's with Iseul.
Meanwhile Iseul at the front didn't say any words. Jaeyun can't see her face so he thought if the girl is too scared to even say a word.
"Why do I feel like we've been here for more than 10 minutes?" Jaeyun asks.
"Not even pass 3 minutes,"
"Oh really?"
Iseul looks down at her arm, seeing him wrapping his arm around hers. She just chuckles, "You're scared,"
"I'm not!"
"Sure, just keep holding onto me or else the ghost might take you with them. I don't feel scared since I can't help but think it's just a human behind the mask, but I do believe in ghost and how they love dark place like haunted house~"
"Iseul, stop joking around!"
"Imagine what if you're actually clinging to no one, and one of the fake ghosts is actually a real ghost," Iseul continues her talk.
"Can you stop talking about that here.."
"Don't worry, Jaeyun. I'm here with you," She sarcastically said with a smile.
