The students go back to their seats after the teacher enters the class. Iseul waited patiently for the teacher to speak. It looks like she's going to talk about something because she's holding a paper in her hand.

"The principal gave permission for the choir contest. But under one condition, every class needs to send an application which means I need you guys to join it." She said and they groaned.

"Man, I'm too lazy to join."

"I don't know how to sing."

"Can we really win? We look like a bunch of losers," One of them laughed.

Iseul just slightly nods, gaining new information. Honestly, she doesn't mind joining because she's not going to be alone. She won't say she has a great vocal but she can sing and she used to join the choir in primary school. She doesn't know about her classmates though. Do they need everyone to join it? Probably they only need around 30 people and her classmates are nearly 40.

"You're going to join right?" Siyeon asks, giving a smile at her.

"Yeah, I think so.." It's still awkward for both of them to talk to each other but they're trying.

She can't believe a really good friendship got ruined because of a boy. That got her thinking if it's her fault for being immature and can't accept the reality. Siyeon was her only friend.

"Okay, how about we start now? I will search for a good song for us and ask for your guys' opinion," The class president said.

"We need a pianist. Who knows how to play piano here?" One of them asks, looking around but no one answers. They just quietly shake their heads.

"Iseul."

"Eh- what, why me?" Iseul looked at Siyeon when she suddenly mentioned her name. Everyone is looking at her now, waiting for her to respond. "I'm not sure about this.. last time I played piano was 3 years ago.." Iseul scratches her head, smiling awkwardly at her classmates. She's not confident about this. What if they choose her and she makes a mistake on stage? She doesn't want that to happen.

"Please Iseul~ at least you must know the basics."

"You're the only hope for this. None of us know how to play piano."

Iseul takes a while to say something. She's definitely going to say she doesn't want to do it, but seeing how they're relying on her.. she has no choice but to practise hard for this. She sighs, giving up before nodding. "Alright. I will do it,"

They cheer before thanking her. After the discussion, Iseul leaves the classroom since it's break time. She buys chocolate milk, drinking it alone at one of the empty benches. She's still thinking about being a pianist. Can she do it well?

She's deep in her thoughts, she doesn't notice Jaeyun is walking towards her when he sees her. The boy smiles, waving at her before he sits next to her. "Do you already know about the choir contest?" He asks and Iseul nods.

"I became the pianist of the group," Jaeyun says. Iseul gasps, turning her head to face him.

"Really?? Cus same. I don't know that you can play piano," Iseul knows Jaeyun is talented but so far, the talent Jaeyun showed to her was his singing. He has a really good vocal. A sweet voice. A voice that she wouldn't get tired listening to.

"I'm not that good but I still can play."

"Hm.. I feel like I'm regretting this. I should've kept saying no when they asked me to play the piano. I'm not confident."

"I can teach you," Jaeyun places his hand on her shoulder. He smiles.

"You will?"

He nods. "I will teach you. Let's meet up after school."

Iseul sits on the chair, taking a deep breath before letting her fingers move on the keys. But she makes lots of mistakes by pressing the wrong key. She put her head down, giving up when she couldn't remember how and which key to press.

"I can't play on the stage like this," She mumbles to herself, probably not noticing the door open before someone enters the music room. She looks up, expecting Jaeyun since he said he will teach her but she never expected this person standing at the door coming in.

Iseul quickly fixes her posture, pulling her hand away from the piano. Her eyes widen as she looks at him. She can feel the nervousness rushing back to her.

"Oh. I wondered who it was, it's you.. Sorry for interrupting," Heeseung bows at Iseul and she quickly shakes her head.

"It's okay."

"Are you going to play piano for the choir contest?" He suddenly asks.

Iseul just nods. Her fingers play with the hem of her skirt, waiting for him to leave but he walks towards her which makes her more panicked by his actions. He stands beside her.

"Can you play it again?"

"Huh?"

"The song. Can you play it again, I want to hear," He asks politely.

"Sure.." Iseul says. He's just asking her to play the piano, not asking something weird so she should play it. She starts again and makes the same mistake again. That's when she can feel her heart drop.

Heeseung leans closer, pressing the keys while he plays the same song. He did it perfectly without a mistake. Iseul's jaw slightly dropped, amazed by the talent.

"You're pressing the wrong key. You should press this, not that one. I know it's hard because they are just right beside each other so you need to practise a lot."

"Ah.. okay."

"If you're having a hard time, you can ask me for help," Heeseung offered.

"But-"

"I will teach her," Jaeyun closes the door, looking at both of them. He glances at Heeseung, how he's so close to Iseul bothers him.

"Oh really? Then, I guess you don't need my help." Heeseung just smiles.

Jaeyun walks towards them, "Yeah, you don't need to worry. I will make sure she can play it perfectly." His feet push the wooden chair the one Iseul is sitting on right now, away from Heeseung.

"That's so nice of you but make sure our classmates won't find out about this because we shouldn't be helping other classes." Heeseung walks away, leaving the music room.

"Sorry I'm late. I was helping the teacher."

"It's okay."

Jaeyun sits on the same chair as her, looking at the paper. He tries to play it and Iseul claps her hand when he's done. Jaeyun scratches his nape, feeling shy out of the sudden.

"Compared to Heeseung, he's way better than me but he chose not to join since he will be the MC on that day. If Heeseung says he will help you.. will you let him do that?" It's just a curious question. Not jealousy.

"I will find you and ask for help," Iseul answers.

"Why?"

"I feel comfortable with you. Honestly.. I'm glad you came in at the perfect time. I don't know how to respond to him."

Jaeyun smiles, hearing her answer. He looks at her, holding her hand before putting it on the piano. "I will teach you slowly. Try to remember it,"

Iseul looks at their hands. Jaeyun traps her between his arms, holding it gently.

If he's teaching like this, I'm not sure if I can focus.
