"Lee Aera is so pretty. How can someone be that pretty?"

"Right? If I was her, I would use my beauty to date every handsome guy in this school~" The girl said, giggling with her friends.

They're talking about the new girl in Jaeyun's class, Lee Aera. That's her name. Iseul covered her face with the mask as she's eavesdropping on them by sitting behind them. She's accidentally heard the conversation, okay? They sat behind her and started talking about the new girl, of course she could listen to it.

They're not wrong. She also thought Lee Aera is pretty. She's so pretty to the point Iseul almost feels like giving up on Jaeyun. She's looking down at her shoes when someone pulls out the chair and sits in front of her.

"What are you doing, Iseul?" Jaeyun reaches for the mask and pulls it down, revealing her face. He smiles when he finally gets to see the face of the girl he misses the most.

"Reading.." Iseul said only to realize there's no book on the table. She slightly hit herself for being dumb.

Jaeyun chuckles, patting the place where she hit just now. "Don't do that," He softly said. "Iseul.."

"Hm?"

"My parents just gave me my monthly allowance. So.. I want to treat you to fried chicken! How about we go after school?" Jaeyun pulls out his phone to show how much money he just got from his parents.

Iseul's jaw drops, looking at the amount. Did she ever ask what kind of job Jaeyun's parents are? She licks her lips, feeling herself getting excited after hearing fried chicken since it's her favourite. And it's free food too!

"But are you okay with this? Your parents gave you this money to spend on yourself, not on someone else. You shouldn't do this," Iseul pouts, leaning back to the chair as she looks at him.

Jaeyun nods, "I spent it on myself okay! I want to eat fried chicken and just happened to have no one to go with me so.. I think it will be better to go with you." Definitely a good reason to spend time with his crush because he seems to not get to spend time with Iseul after Yang Jungwon appeared. He prays to himself so that Jungwon won't ask to join them because that boy never lets him and Iseul be alone together.

"Sure! Can't wait for the free fried chicken!" Iseul smiles. I miss being alone together with you.

"Is this place new? I never come here and it's pretty far from our school too," Iseul asks as soon as they enter the restaurant. She didn't expect to come here with a taxi because she thought it wouldn't be far from their school and they just needed to walk.

"No, it's not new. We just never come across here. I heard they sell the best fried chickens~" Jaeyun whispers into her ears. He holds Iseul's hand, pulling her to find a place to sit.

He pulls out the chair for Iseul to sit on before he takes a seat in front of her. Iseul is holding herself back from smiling widely when Jaeyun did that. He always treats her like a princess.

They eat the food as soon as they get their orders. Iseul doesn't wait for Jaeyun to tell her to eat. She grabs the chicken, putting it in her mouth as she tears the meat apart. She hums happily, enjoying the good taste in her mouth. Iseul loves eating. When the food is in front of her, she never cares about the surroundings. The food is her top priority now.

That's why she doesn't notice Jaeyun recording her. It's just too cute to not record it. Jaeyun smiles to himself, seeing how Iseul's moves her hands and body whenever she eats the chicken. "Is it that good?" He asked.

"Yup! This is the definition of perfect fried chicken! Crispy and juicy inside. Do you know how hard is it to find a good one? I really hate it when the meat inside is dry. You should try the spicy chicken too!" Iseul pushes the plate to Jaeyun and looks up but she's startled by the phone. "Are you recording me? Put it dowwwn—" Her cheeks puff because she's still chewing the food in her mouth.
