TEN

CHAPTER TEN: CAPTAIN AMERICA AND AGENT LIBERTY

MAGGIE HAD NEVER BEEN IN A PLANE BEFORE.

When her and her mother came to America, they travelled by boat. However, the brunette was amazed by how a machine such as a plane could fly in the air with people on it.

Maggie, Steve, and Peggy sat in a plane while Howard Stark was the pilot. They were on their way to save the soldiers from the Hydra base, including Bucky, and bring them how.

"The Hydra camp is in Krausberg, tucked between these two mountain ranges. It's a factory of some kind," Peggy told Maggie and Steve.

"We should be able to drop you right on the doorstep," Howard called from the pilot's set.

"Just get us as close as you can," Steve instructed Howard. "You know you two are gonna be in a lot of trouble at the lab."

"And you won't?" Peggy asked.

"So where we're going, if anybody yells at us, we can just shoot them?" Maggie asked, loading her gun.

"They will undoubtedly shoot back," Peggy stated.

"Well, let's hope it's good for something," Steve said, knocking down n his shield.

"Agent Carter, if we're not in too much of a hurry, I thought we could stop off in Lucerne for a late night fondue," Howard said to Peggy.

The agent looked awkwardly between at Steve and Maggie as they were getting ready to parachute.

"Stark is the best civilian pilot I've ever seen. He's mad enough to brave this airspace, we're lucky to have him," Peggy explained.

"So are you two, do you, Fondue?" Steve asked as he stammered.

"Oh dear God," Maggie groaned, rubbing her face in disbelief.

"This is your transponder. Activate it when you're ready and the signal will lead us straight to you," Peggy said, ignoring Steve's awkward ramble.

"Are you sure this thing works?" Maggie asked, furrowing a brow

"It's been more than you, honey," Howard said before the plane was under attack.

Steve went towards the opening door of the plane to jump. Maggie was right behind him, putting her gun back in her holster.

"Get back here! We're taking you both all the way in!" Peggy shouted.

"As soon as we're free, you turn this thing around and get the hell outta here!" Steve yelled.

"You can't give me orders!"

"The hell I can't! I'm a Captain!" The blonde smirked before jumping out of the plane.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure we get back!" Maggie assured Peggy and Howard both before jumping out of the plane.

The brunette landed on her two feet a couple feet away from Steve. She was in disbelief that her and the blonde were actually sneaking into a Hydra base. Steve led the both of them, swinging his shield left and right as they made their way around the Hydra guards.

"Mags, think you can keep watch?" Steve asked.

"I'm on it," Maggie said, making sure her gun was ready.

It hadn't been the first time Maggie used a gun. After all, her father wasn't always working for the American Government. He even took her shooting with Johnny Dogs when she was five years old. Her mother wasn't happy about that in the slightest.
