Short story time Part 2
The youngling reluctantly awakens from his slumber. He misses the fictional reality he was living in during the night, but is hopeful for the future yet still feels like the future he hopes for slips away from him day by day even though his fears aren't based in fact. He realizes he must brave the day and continue on his quest. He mumbles some grunting noises as he leaves his hut, seeing the light of yet another day.
He musters his strength and cleans himself up, removing the excess hair from his face and brushing his teeth with a makeshift toothbrush made from twigs and some bristle, he greets his small tiger as it excitedly jumps and spins to see him. He hums a tune so soft and sweet that it lightens his mood, he breathes in the light of day and feels a sense of hope, the feeling that everything might be ok if he keeps trying, if he keeps it up maybe he'll make it through and it'll all be one good story in his past that he can tell them.
He walks back to his hut, feeling like something is missing, someone is missing. He looks back gently in the distance as toward the direction of the alpacas. He knows it's all for the best, but it feels....wrong. Does he still care?" Does he ever look back? Will he ever come back?" He realizes he will never have the answers to the questions he seeks. He wonders who else he will meet in his lifetime. Who else he will have to part ways with? Will his goals come to fruition? Or will it all fall apart before him leaving him to find a new path.
"that's just life" he says as he lets out a sigh. What a weird creature.
