A short story
The only mountain : Part one
There was a land, not long ago, that only had one mountain. It was a really high mountain that had a snowy peak. This mountain was special as it was a dormant volcano. In the northern part of the mountain, there was a forest filled with different trees. One of which was a big maple tree. Many birds and creatures visited this maple tree, but one that always visited was a duck.
"Oh hi there duck" said the maple tree with a motherly tone.
"Quack" said the duck.
"Yes, its very nice weather we are having" said the maple tree.
"Quack quack" said the duck.
"That's true, the penguins might visit soon from the artic, what do you think they will bring this time duck?" replied the maple tree.
"Quack quack quack quack... Quack." said the duck
"Oh those are really good, sure ill share some with you." said the maple tree with a joyous tone.
"*Depressed* Quack" replied the duck.
"Don't say that duck, I enjoy your visits and conversations." Said the maple tree noticing a fire ball light up in the sky and added "How nice, is there a meteor shower tonight?""Quack quack" said the duck.
"You wished for a storm later this year? you know meteors dont grant wishes. But I heard from another duck, one with immaculate rizz, that this year we might get some around september." Said the maple tree."Quack quack? Quack quack." Said the duck with sas
"Oh duck" said the maple tree noticing a little duckling waddle up to them. "Oh hi there little duckling" greeted the maple tree.
"Blaaaah" replied the duckling.
They all laughed when suddenly they heard a noice. It was a youngling walking towards them, he was cold and looked hungry as he had not eaten any breakfast. He collapsed on the snow and startled the group of three.
