Random short story
The alien walked in to his dirt shack in the field. He had spent all day building it and now he was admiring his work. Wondering about what type of moss to grow on the floor of the inside he noticed a family of rabbits that entered the dirt shack as he also heard the sound of a hawk. The alien walked outside and shooed the hawk away. He noticed the family of rabbits where all beaten up and had scars, this worried him. The alien thought about a way to help the rabbits and he walked outside and began to collect sticks and grass. He then began to put the sticks together and he tied them with fibrous grass he has made in to little ropes. Little by little he created various huts made out of sticks and places them around in the field. He then collected moss and rocks and brought it back to the dirt shack. When the alien came back to the shack, he noticed the rabbit family was gone. He hoped that the rabbit family took refuge in one of the little huts he built. Once finished, the alien admired his work. Tired, the alien laid down on the moss and closed his eyes falling asleep.
Some time had passed, and the alien woked up suddenly at some noice that came from the outside. Rushing outside he heard a hawk carrying a rabbit away. This made the alien sad, but he understood what was going on. It was out of his hands, he had to let the natural cycles of life take its course. Sitting down on a boulder the alien thought about the things that where beyond his control, and how he couldn't do anything about them. Shaking his head he stood up and got dizzy and fell back on the grass, he hit his head with the ground and rubbed his head. Letting a big sigh out the alien wondered about what creatures would inhabit the little huts he made. Hopefully those would prove useful for other ones.
The end.
