A short story
Kosmic's Beach Day

A soft and refreshing breeze covers the valley of flowers where Kosmic sleeps peacefully at dawn. Even the sun does not wake up, nor do the birds sing, but next to the alien there are some things prepared. A straw basket between woven and a bundle made with his staff and his lab coat. Suddenly, the alien wakes up and smiles stretching, while stretching, its matter is distorted as if from a chromatic fault, it seems at the same time that quantum particles appear and disappear around it with energy fluctuations. Then as he sat up to get up the alien begins to disappear and appear in various places near his location instantly, this is a Tester's version of a multidimensional quantum sneeze, something truly peculiar and impressive to anyone who witnessed this rarely seen event. Kosmic now shakes his head from side to side stabilizing his senses and picks up the pack and basket and begins to fly towards the coast. On the way to the coast he flies close to some white and gray birds with yellow legs and bills. The alien finds birds funny because of the thermochemical signature he perceives from them.

He waves to the birds by moving his hand from side to side and speeds up towards the sandy area where he agreed to meet his friends. Landing, he looks around and sees no one. This is the agreed place, so he wonders why no one has come. The reality is that Kosmic arrived too early. The alien decides to prepare the area and puts his belongings on the sand. He then takes his staff and begins to glow his hair and eyes. Concentrating, the alien begins to terraform an area of the beach to create a gazebo and seating with a table, all made of sand and sedimentary rocks. He then takes sand in his hand and his hands get hot to the point that it looks red. With his other hand he takes out some chemicals from his pocket and mixes them with the now hot sand and begins to melt it, forming glass. Kosmic brings the glass close to his mouth and blows creating complex structures similar to geometric figures seen in physics books. After making several hang them to the gazebo to decorate. The alien smiles and sits down taking out a bag of nachos with artificial cheese and begins to eat them. The crackling and sound of the nacho bag attracts one of the birds Kosmic saw flying. The bird looked at Kosmic attentively, even so patient although it was obvious that he wanted a taste of the nachos. Kosmic smiles and takes out a nacho, looks at it and looks at the bird and thinks "What would be the worst that can happen if I give the bird a single nacho? I don't think it will hurt it." The alien throws a nacho at the bird and the bird catches it in the air, eats the nacho, and then nothing is heard. The bird walks from front to back and in an instant, nodding with its head, it begins to make a sound as if it were laughing loudly. Kosmic watches the bird curious as to what it is doing and then the bird stops and flies away. "How curious" he thinks and continues eating his nachos.

Suddenly, the sky darkens as if it clouded over. And the sound of hundreds of birds is heard loud in the distance. Kosmic leaves the gazebo to see what is happening and sees a large cloud of birds heading towards him. "Computer analyzes the behavior of the organics that fly here," he says. In turn, he receives the information instantly and realizes his mistake. But it was already late. The seagulls storm Kosmic attacking him to try and snatch the nacho chips. Running Kosmic tries to save his nachos but could not against the large number of birds. Some seagulls take the glass ornaments the alien had made and throw them on the ground as if to provoke the alien. Others destroy the sand structures the alien had built. And others pull on Kosmic's hair and hit him while flying around him as he ran around trying to find cover. The alien tossed the bag of chips away and ran the opposite direction. The seagulls grabbed the bag and flew away. While all of this happened the group of friends had arrived at the beach and witnessed the event but could not do anything about it. "This is why you never feed the seagulls" said the youngling to the rest of the group. . . To be continued.
