The night of the thousand lights
Past the only mountain in the land flying across the sky, looking for a place to rest, a raven. Through the forest it flew past the maples that grew, it found a branch to rest near the pond where the ducks all where. It was a clear winter night, the moon was new so the stars brightly shined, what an amazing sight. Spilled on the sky the Milky Way flowed, shooting stars lit the land.
The raven admired the sights in the heavens when it noticed a bright green shooting star like nothing it had ever seen. It followed it's trajectory with its eyes, the raven in aw was. The ducks also took notice of the celestial light flying thru the sky. But something felt off. The light grew more and more and as it did, the more intense it got. Suddenly, in the distance something was happening in the flower field, lights started to appear, floating up.
"What is going on?" the land creatures asked. as bubbles formed from the flowers lighting up the fields, thousands and thousands as the shooting star grew bigger. A loud sound roared thru the mountain as the shooting star now was closer and anyone seeing it could tell the shape of it.
"A cuttle fish? But how?" A swords man of the light sword exclaimed. "Get the young one inside my love, and you with him!" he told his wife as she held a toddler close to her.
The man noticed that the cuttler fish was metallic, it was no fish, it was a ship that had entered the planet from outer space. He noticed a raven fly towards the ship, and as he looked in the direction that it flew he also noticed the bubbles and flowers that where lighting up a path towards the extraterrestrial ship.
The man drew his light sword and ran following the raven. He ran to the flower field and stood just below the trail of lights that lead to the ship. He was ready for anything that could happen, he hoped that they came in peace who ever that it was. But he was ready to fight if they wished to harm anyone or the land.
A beam of light shoot out of the cuttler fish ship, lighting up the spot just in front of the man. A tall creature with curly green hair and a lab coat stood from where the light emanated. It held a staff and its body absorbed light around it. The wind from the ship blew on its hair and its eyes where visible. Just like galaxies they shined. It seemed to take notice of the light sword and it extended its staff towards the man, starting to walk on the light as if it was walking down stairs.
"Human man, I come in peace, put away the weapon as I mean no harm" the alien said to the man
"How can I be sure you speak the truth?" asked the man as the raven flew towards it and landed on its shoulder.
"I am a terraformer, my purpose is to bring the conditions for life, not to destroy it. I was informed that there is a section of the land in this planet that does not provide the necessary conditions for life, so I have been assigned to fix it as I worked on this very planet long ago. Please, put the weapon away." replied the alien as he finished his way down standing in front of the man letting go of his staff and bowing. "I am telling the truth"The man looked at the raven and the raven looked at the man. The raven had distrust in its eyes yet the man put away his light sword. "I will trust your words, but you need to tell anyone else to leave the planet at once. Long ago it was ships similar to that, that ruined the land you speak of."
The alien looked a bit confused. It's ship was one of a kind. "I travel alone, but if it will give you peace of mind, I will put my ship away." The alien said taking off his lab coat and tossing it to the sky. The lab coat seemed to grow and change color to that of the milky way. It enveloped the ship and then shrunk down to its original size. It floated down to the alien and the alien put it back on and picked its staff. He pointed the staff to the bubbles that lit the sky and they all popped at once. The flower petals floated around in the wind, like nothing that they ever had seen.
"Thank you for understanding, come I will give you hospitality and a place to sleep." the man replied as the raven flew away. They walked towards a shack near the base of the only mountain on the land. The end
