The camp fire
(part 4)A raven flew towards the light in the forest. It was curious to know what all the commotion was about. It had been observing the group of friends since the great metal cuttler fish flew down form the night sky long ago. Now the raven noticed the smell of smoke and the flickering light of fire.
It landed on a branch and listened to the conversations that where going on and about amongst the friends. Here and there you could hear it give remarks commenting on the things it heard.
At some point in the night, the alien heard the raven and recognized its voice. He asked the youngling what was speaking in the trees, he had yet to meet all the creatures of the planet.
"Oh thats just the raven, he's what some call edgy like Al and Poe from the swam lands the story I was telling you about." the youngling replied.
"Edgy? As in sharp as a blade?" the alien asked
"Well something is for sure, I am much more sharper than you, broccoli haired thing. What are you supposed to be anyways? I've noticed to appeared on the night of the thousand lights, and something doesn't seem right" remarked the raven with caution not to get too close to the alien.
"I am Kosmic, what do you mean by the night of a thousand lights?" asked the alien confused.
"Wait thats your name?" some asked amazed as most in the group had never heard the aliens name.
"Kosmic you say? Is it supposed to be a joke? Because then it would be Comical. Are you supposed to be from the moon, because then you would be a lunatic. Oh wait you never answered me, what are you?" said the raven again with what seemed to be a taunting tone in his voice.
"You should tone it down a bit raven" replied the space man
"Oh my apologies, space man, ill get outer yer space." said the raven flying towards the maple tree and landing on a branch. "And what do we have here, but some ducks.. Quack quack"
"Quack quack quack quack" said the duck in a sassy tone. The maple tree hold in her laughter. To be continued
