Child of the Dragon Chapter One

The Bar

In side was really dark with only spots of light coming from old stain glass lamps that hanged from the ceiling by gold chains over the scattered tables throw out the room. The room was quiet except for the soft old rock music coming from a jukebox in the corner of the room next to a door and a hallway on the other side of a long dark red wood bar. At the bar was a tall long black hair woman was worked. She was warring a long tight dress with thin straps where the only thing holding it on to her shoulder. Her fare skinned face and deep blue eyes looked up at us from the glass she was wiping down.
“We don’t serve kids.” here voice was sweet and genital with a hypnotic undertone. I sow people reaching for her longing for her.
“We are in need of help.” she came around the bar that is when I noticed a large well belt man surrounded by six women each warring revealing outfits of red and gold setting around a table on the left side of the room behind the bar. I could see lust in them longing for the man’s attention but he was not paying them any attention as he watched us from the round corner booth. He put down his tall glass of some kind of red liquid. I sow pain and sorrow in his eyes as he looked at me. The woman was taller then I first noticed as she came around to stop in front of me and I noticed that I barley came up to her chest.
“You need to leave kid. Why don’t you go home?” her voice had strange hypnotic tones
“Lesson I will not be a bother we just need a bit to eat and then we will leave.” I said shifting the boy to be able to hold him better.
“What’s your name kid?” I knew to not give out my full name to anyone, even my father douse not know my full name, for they can use it to find me or cause me harm.
“Kate.”
“Is that it just Kate?”
“I know better then to give out my full name.”
“You sound like a sorcerer.” She snapped at me
“So.”
“We don’t like sorcerers here kid.” She looked at me with her hands on her hips.
“Pleas we just need to rest and get some food we can’t stay here long they will find us.” 
“Whom are you running from young ones?” this came from the man surrounded by women he stood and the women moved quickly to get out of his way before returning to there seats. He walked over to stand in front of us. His hair was black and short and his face was pail white like the women.
“Tell me your name and I will tell you why.”
“You are smart trying to protect yourself like that Kate but you are in my house and you need to play by my law now answer the question.” He demanded,
“Kate don’t.” said Midnight the man’s hypnotic voice was strong and hard to resist.
“I am running from my father. I have to keep this boy safe at all cost.” he looked at the boy and came over to take his arm in his hand to get a better look at the dark dragon mark on his left arm.
“Will now isn’t this luck the Dragon Child in my house. If this is the Dragon Child then that would make you his teacher right?” I was in shock how did he know
“Who are you?”
“Calm yourself child you are safe here under my protection. I welcome you. My name is Destin and you meet my friend Tina.” His voice made me really dizzy and lightheaded. “Come you should rest.” He led us down the hall which I did not see before all went dark.

I came to lying on a mettle table strapped down and this man Destin was rubbing my back. He then looked at me in the eye and the world started to spin around to show me first that he was feeding on Steve. His claws dug into his neck forcing his blood out. Then he used it to mark a name on his back as he forced his power out of him only to give it back clean and stronger. He let me out of his thoughts.
He then started to dig one of his nails into his arm to get his blood flowing. I could not move, speak, or fight him all I could do was watch. He then used his nail and his own blood to write something on my back pain surged throw me. I screamed and fought the straps that where holding me down. “Calm yourself child you are the protector of the Dragon Child you must be strong and brave. I will not harm you. I am just giving you your new name. This way your power will be safe having two names to protect you.” He then leaned in close next to me his head only inches away from mine. “You will be known as Fire Wolf. Protector of the dragon.” Then all went dark.

My first thought was the pain that was coming and going throw my interred body. It heart to move, it heart to just breathe. I opened my eyes and sow Midnight staring at me from a cot across from where I was laying.
“You look horrible.”
“Gee thanks. Where is the boy?”
“He is in the cell next to us.”
“What happened?” I was trying to set up only to get struck by pain and laid back down.
“The man did something to you I could not tell what.” I heard a voices coming down to us.
“Do you trust them?” asked a female voice
“You have nothing to fear Tina this is all on my head. If the sorceresses are after the boy then they will have a flight on there hands. For the order of the Dragon Fang will not let them near him.” This voice I did recognize as Destin they came over to us I looked up past the silver steal bars of the cage I was in and looked up at Destin as he now was warring a blue shirt and denim pence. The woman was in a dark nave blue dress that was cut low in front and height along the sides. “Good you’re awake. How do you feel?”
“It hearts to move.”
“Will that is expected. I took some power out of you.”
“What? Why?”
“Relax I was just connecting to you since Shadow Wolf is unable to help me I need a strong power to satisfy my thirst. It would be best for the both of us.”
“How so?” I forced my self to sit up.
He smiled at me “Look you might not think so but we can exchange power. You give me yours and I will return it to you after it haves been filtered and cleaned.” he licked his lips. “It takes three times before we are fully connected. Then you can come every six months and I will heal your energy.”
“Connected how so?” he smiled at me.
“It’s different then what you sheer with a familiar. It’s more of a power connection that well be helpful for us both” He looking at Midnight lying on the cot as he gave a low goral at him. Destin turned to Tina and smiled “Can you pleas what upstairs my dear and I will get to the problem later.”
“Yes sir.” She said with a slight bow and walked up the steal stairs that sat a cross the room leading to the room above. Destin opened the gate and came in he sat down next to me. I could feel the power that was in him. He put his arm around me all of my pain and sorrow seemed to dissolve with his touch.
“You need to rest let me worry about everything.” his voice calmed me to a deep relaxing sleep.
I awoke laying on my back and Destin leaning over me cutting small wounds in my neck and leaking them close. I felt my energy run wild and his cool touch it calmed my power forcing it to correct itself to a normal energy flow pattern from head to tow and back again. When my power reached my neck I could feel a difference going up it felt heavy and thick but once Destin took it and returned it felt cool, thin, and light ready for anything. I could feel my power increasing with every pass. It felt like a drug as I pray that it would not end and depressed when it did. He looked down at me with a smile.
“So what do you think?” he asked liking his lips I could have refused but the feeling was so overwhelming and a great welcome that I could not refuge.
“How could I say no?” he just smiled at me.
“I will make you the same promise as I did the others like you. I promise that I will have no other but you and that I will protect you if you protect me” I was pleased and exited and very tired all at the same time.
“I accepted your terms.” I was hopping for more of the calmness he haves shown me. He put his hand on my neck and I could feel the power that lies with in him.
“I am pleased.” Midnight was irritating at the whole thing. Destin turned to Midnight and put his hand on his back I could see Midnights muscles loosen and relax and he quieted down. I could tell he also enjoyed Destin’s touch, as he fell asleep. I was not far off from him.
