I awoke cold vary cold I could not get worm no mater how I moved. I opened my eyes and I found myself raped in several blankets. I felt a hand stroking my hair. I turned and sow Riken sitting next to me covered in several jackets, panics, and a wool hat.
“Good you’re awake.” Riken’s teeth where chattering.
“What’s wrong why is it so cold?”
He looked away from me. The door opened to Destin caring a tray with soup. He was sweating and had on only shorts and a tank top.
“Kate you’re awake.” he put the tray down on the table and ran to be next to me
“Arch you cold it’s frizzing in here.” Destin turned to Riken
“You did not tell her?”
“Tell me what?”
“Tell her Riken or I will!” Destin snapped and garbed Riken by the collar of his shirt. Riken turned to me. I sat up and raped the thick blankets tit around me. I looked around and did not see Midnight thinking he was just out side. “Tell her Riken.” Demanded Destin Riken turned to me and moved my hair out of my eyes.
“We have a problem.” Destin let him go.
“What kind of problem?”
“Do you remember what happened last night?”
I thought for a minuet and remembered everything that happened. I started to cry. Destin held me in his arms. He was so worm that I laid closer to him to worm up.
“It was Carl. He killed the dragon that was binding to Nicolas.”
“It’s a lot wars then that.”
“What do you mean?” I stopped crying and looked up at him.
“What ever Carl did destroy the binding we sheared with are familiars.” He was staring down at his hands.
“What! How is that possible?” I sat up and got blasted with a cold breeze. I quickly covered right back up.
“We think that it could be because they destroyed the temple of time.” I started to shake
“What douse that mean?” Riken stood and looked out the window.
“It means that are familiars, which we all depend on so deeply, are just regular animals and are powers are reduced because of it.” Destin held me tit in his arms
“What douse the cancel has to say?” Riken came back over and sat down.
“That is one of the problems we can’t get hold of the cancel.”
“Why can’t we?”
“This mite sound silly but we don’t have their phone numbers.” we sat in silence for a while tell something started to scratch at the door.
Riken opened the door and Midnight came in tong hanging out like he was running he came up to me. I reached over and started to scratch his head. “Midnight can you hear me?” I asked all he did was lick my hand and waged his tail tears ran down my face, and I started to cry again.
“It will be ok.” Destin held me titer agents him.
“Midnight is just a normal dog.” I said between fits of tears. I looked up at Riken and he to started to cry as a blue wolf came in throw the opened door and went up to him.
“They still have to be in there right?” I look up at Riken “We just can’t here them.”
“Kate there just dogs they have no power anymore.” Riken bent down and hugged his wolf.
“How do we fix’s this?” I wiped my tears away Riken turned to me.
“I don’t think there is a way.” He said with tears running down his face.
“There haves to be a way. There just haves to.” I snapped as Midnight jumped up on the bed. I barred my head in his fur and just cried my self to sleep.
When I awoke again I was not cold and feeling better so I got out of bed dressed and went down to the kitchen, but stopped at the bottom of the stairs to see three people I do not know eating at the table. Destin and Riken sat on the couch in the living room with Thomas. The wolves where playing out side running around tarring up the yard. I noticed a man standing next to the stairs holding a long black staff and a deep dark blood red crystal on top of it his head was down and his black clock hid his fetchers and face. I stepped down and the man that was standing there with the staff appeared before me kneeling on the ground. His cape draped off him and onto the floor his staff still in his hand. I must have made a nose because Destin looked up and Midnight started to growl at us threw the door. I started to shake as fear hit. Destin came right up to me stepping over the man that was bowing at me. “Are you ok?” he held me in his arms and made me look at him.
“I think so.”
“Come.” He pulled me over to the living room to sit next to him and Riken. The man stood back up next to the door.
“What’s going on?”
“Shhh.” Said Thomas as he turned back to steer at the TV. I looked and sow a news reporter standing in front of city hall. Behind that looked like a war zone with these large beasts running throw the streets and killing anything in there paths.
“We have just got ward that these beasts have been destroying cities all over the country. No one seemed able to stop them. They’re destroying anything that is a live. We have tried everything. The authorities want everyone to stay inside and away from any windows or doors. This includes any pets.” Said the newscaster as the live feed went dead. When it came back there was a panic in the newsroom as they tried to get the pitcher back with no luck. The station went dead. I looked up at Riken and he just stared at the door.
“What are we going to do?” Riken turned to me
“Nothing.”
“WHAT!” I stood up and faced him “What do you mean nothing? We can’t just sit here and do nothing! People are dying out there. And what about Nicolas he could still be alive!” I was yelling at the top of my longs.
“Kate please you must calm down.” Riken pleaded suddenly I found it hard to breath and I was getting really cold again.
“No I won’t calm down. We have to find Nicolas or they will kill him!” It was getting harder to breath again but I was upset.
“Destin please calm her down.” Riken turned to Destin. He try to calm me by taking my neck in his hand.
“I DON’T WONT TO CALM DOWN I WON’T TO FIND NICOLAS!” I jumped up and became light headed and almost black out as I fell to my knees. I end up really cold and shivering uncountable. I felt this large cape come over me and I wormed up really quick. I looked up and sow a tall short blonde hair man kneeling next to me holding the black and red staff.
“Are you ok?” His voice was gentle and calming similar to Destin only smoother where you almost could not tell it was there.
“Yes. Thank you.” he smiled at me.
“My name is Stephen-wolf but you can call me Wolf.” He was holding his hand out for mine. I reached out of the clock and it was to cold so I quickly put it back in. He smiled and reached in took my hand and shook it.
“You shod stay put for a few minuets and calm down.” Wolf put his hand on my shoulder. “It will help you.”
“Who are you?”
“I’m your protector.” He smiles down at me.
“My protector?”
“Yes you are a member of the Society of Light and I am your protector.”
“Do they know what’s going on?” I asked hoping for some ray of light some hope of help.
“I do not know. I only know that I am to protect you. For I can’t interfere with any diction you or anyone makes.” my hope crashed and I turned to stare at the floor in front of me.
“Relax everything will work out.” Destin sat down next to me. I was crying too hard to notice that Midnight came in and started to lick my face. I looked up at him and he smiled at me as he waged his tail.
“Oh Midnight I miss you.” I throw my arms around his neck.
A knock came to the door behind me. I turned and sow Thomas open the door to a short woman in a brown dress and red cape. She looked up at Thomas and smiled. “Hello Thomas Have you seen Riken?” her voice was sweet and genital. She barely came up to Thomas chest.
“Lady Cassandra.” He bowed as he stepped aside to let her in. She turned to the kitchen then tuned to us. She saw Riken and a smile came across her face.
“There you are Riken the cancel was looking for you.” She then turned to look at Wolf she had a surprised look on her face. Then she saw Destin and Me.
“What’s going on?” she asked Riken stood and walked over to her.
“Nothing you need to wary about Cassandra.” He walked past me to stand before her.
“You are here surrounded buy power vampires, a protector, and who is the child?” Cassandra demanded an answer from Riken. He turned to me then, back at her.
“She is not a child she can hold her own. Know if you don’t mind we can talk else ware.”
“You need to tell me what you are doing here there are members that are questioning you.” I stood holding the cape tit around me and walked over to them with Wolf right behind me.
“May I ask why they are questioning Riken?” she looked down at me
“Don’t wary child it douse not concern you.” She looked at me from down her nose
“Riken is a friend and a teacher to me. I would like to now if I could help him out.”
“Kate don’t worry about it I can handle my self. You should get something to eat.” Riken stated with a smile I looked up at him and he noted to me.
“Ok.” I turned and entered the kitchen so he can talk to her in the living room.
“What would you like?” Destin followed me in to the kitchen
“I don’t care anything is fine.” I sat down at the table with the two men and women. They each had cut off blue jeans and white t-shirts. The man on my right had short spiked black hair and the man next to him had a buzz cut with short green heir growing out. The woman at me right was shiny and had strange gray eyes that reflected the light from out side.
“Hi my name is Constance and this is Jeffrey.” She said pointing to the man next to me “And Steven.” She pointed to the other man
“Hi pleased to meet you.” I shook there hands “My name is Kate.”
“Destin told us about you.” Constance smiled up at me.
“I hope it’s all good?”
“Don’t wary the way he was talking it was like you could do nothing wrong.” Steven looked over at me after he finished eating his ham and eggs.
Destin came over with a plate of French toast that he put in front of me with a glass of milk.
“Thank you.” Destin sat down with a similar plat across the table from me. “So what’s going on?”
“Something happened two nights ago and all the sorceress have started to arrive in town.” Said Constance,
“We needed a place to stay out of the way so we came here. The only problem is that we found out Riken and Thomas are staying here as will.” Said Steven,
“It’s a good thing we missed Stephen and Eric.” Said Jeffrey
“Tell me about it.” Constance turned to finish her eggs I looked up at her.
“Why is that?” they turned to me.
“Simple, most people that don’t mind Vampires but others hate them with a passion and want us all to be destroyed.” Jeffrey was rather irritated I understood and did not want to push them on it.
“So why are you three here?” I looked over to Constance
“We are usually taking refuge at the Refuge but with out Destin there and the Blood vamps causing trouble we decided that here was safer for now.” Constance got up and took her dishes to the sink.
I felt my energy spike and looked up to see the four of them staring at me Destin was licking his lips as he looked at me. I suddenly felt like a piece of meat. I felt a hand on my shoulder and my energy calmed down. I looked up at Wolf as he smiled at me. I turned and looked out side to see Scarlet scratching at the door and Midnight watching her. Tears ran down my face remembering what happened to Nicolas. I stood and walked over to the back door and opened it for Scarlet to come in but she just stood there and stared up at me.
“Sorry Scarlet but we can’t here you any more.” she knocked me over and stood on my chest and stared at me.
“Scarlet let her up.” Snapped Destin from the table
“No, what she is trying to tell me something.” I closed my eyes cleared my mind. I opened my eyes again and tried to lessen to her at first nothing but then I got a hint of a whisper.
“Where is Nicolas?” Scarlet asked it was hard to here her but I new what she said
“My older brother took him.” I tried to explain it simply
“We have to find him.” she was upset and started to growl at me
“We can’t we don’t now where to start.” she stared at me very coldly
“Don’t give me that you know I can tell.”
“But I don’t.”
“Dam it start with the dragon.” She snapped then jumped off me. I sat up and turned to Destin and the others.
“You herded her?” Destin turned to me after watching her walk off to the living room. I noted yes.
“What did she say?” I looked past Destin and sow Riken and the women staring at me from the entranceway.
“She said we should look for the dragon.” I sat up
“You mean find the Black dragon that is impassable no one know where it’s at!” said Cassandra I looked over at Destin and he seemed to know want I was thinking.
“We should use that locater spell that men in the cave were trying to create.”
“What are you nuts that almost killed you both?” Riken slammed his hands on the table. This sent Steven to his feet as he hissed at him like a cat. He walked over to Constance. I tried to remain calm but got very cold and raped the clock titer around me. Riken and Cassandra where both shaking perhaps from cold
“Lesson if we can create a locating spell then we can find Nicolas before they take the dragon sole and put it into that black dragon statue or do you wont that to happen?” Everyone was in shock by what I asked.
I could feel my energy rise again “Kate.” I looked down and sow Midnight staring up at me.
“Please calm down.” I smiled and put my hand on his head.
“I will try to.” he took a step back.
“You heard me?”
“Yes I can here you.” I hugged him tit.
“I missed you.”
“I missed you to.” I started to cry in his fair.
“Kate.” I looked over and sow Destin kneeling next to me he put his hand on my neck and I blacked out.

I awoke in bed with Destin holding me from behind and Cassandra, Steven, Jeffrey where kneeling next to the bed with there eyes closed I turned to Destin and he smiled at me his eyes where glowing brighter then normal. “Relax Kate it’s all right there just hungry.” He started to lick my neck, which calmed me down. My energy was wild and spiked at his touch.
“What’s going on?” he just held me titer ageist him.
“You are too emotional you need to calm down.” He smiled softly at me,
“What are they doing?”
“There emotional vampires don’t worry they wont hurt you. That is way I am here.” I looked at them then back to Destin.
“If you stay calm and not get to emotional they won’t hurt you, but if you get to emotional they will drain you dry.” He continued to calm me down. I ended up dozing off into a shallow sleep.
