The answer

I awoke several hours later to a knock on the door. I opened my eyes as Destin got up from sitting next to me. He opened the door to Mark, Nicolas, and Scarlet they came in Nicolas walked over and sat down on the table at the head of the bed next to the window as Scarlet came over and laid next to Midnight.
“Destin, you are not doing anything that will cause you any trouble with Cornwell are you?” asked Mark, as he looked from me to Destin to me and back to Destin
“Calm yourself Mark.” He said and sat back down next to me as he put my head back on his lap.
“Kate is bound to me, and I to her. There is no need to concern your self.” He said to Mark who looked rater heated at the whole thing as his face went red. I looked over at Nicolas and sow him with his head on the table asleep
“Gust watch your self, Destin ok.” Mark said with his arm folded across his chest
“Don’t I always.” Destin stated as he ran his fingers throw my long black hair
“You never seem to take my advice anyway. Oh before I forget I was told to give this to you Kate.” Mark said handing me an envelope. Destin helped me to sit up as I took the envelope from Mark.
I opened it and read: “Dear Kate Mc Millen, By the order of magic and society of light. We are proud to present to you with the rank of Sorcerer you are to report to Arch mage Riken. He will be expecting you at 3:45 pm on August 11 at sunset park north side on the pond in front of the pool on Sunset and Maryland Pkwy. Don’t be late. Sincerely: Necromancer Second Class Kel.” I looked up at Mark “What day is today?” I asked,
“Saturday August 11 Why?” he asked,
“What time is it?” I asked,
“We don’t have any clocks hear.” He said I turned to Destin and he shook his head no
“Dam!” I snapped and focused myself to the window to look out side at the sun which was a little passed the noon point.
“We have to go!” I said and shook Nicolas awake.
“What?” asked Destin I tossed him the letter and watched him read it several times before standing.
“You’re a Sorcerer?” he asked with a big smile on his face.
“No time it’s just after 2:30 now we have to get going.” I said and started tours the door only to make it half way I suddenly got light headed and I collapsed to my knees. Destin was right at my side.
“Are you all right?” he asked,
“Yes just moved to fast.” I said and he helped me up to my feet. I turned to Nicolas “I would like you to stay close to me understand?” I asked him
“Yes, but why?” he asked,
“I will explain later we have to go.” we said “Good by.” to Mark and left the church, got into Destin’s car and drive off.

I was dozing in the front seat when all of a sudden there was this loud bang and the car went spinning in circles we stopped we where facing a fence I turned a sow a beast that looked like a V.W. bug at least size wise with cat like fetchers with huge fangs, short brown hair, and who’s size was of that of a large cat. It was staring right at us.
“What is it?” asked Nicolas,
“I have no idea.” I said I turned to Destin and he was out cold
“Dam! Midnight, take Nicolas and Scarlet and hid next to the sign at the front of the park. I will hold the beast off tell you get to a safe distends.” I said opening the doors.
“What about Destin?” Midnight asked I looked over and sow that Destin was waking up.
“Destin are you ok?” I asked,
“Ya, just a headache.” He said,
“I need you to get Nicolas out of here.” I said as the beast swatted at me sending me into the airport fence. Nicolas was frozen in place. “Run!” I yelled and sow Destin grab Nicolas by the waste and they ran tours the park. The beast started to follow them. “I don’t think so!” I yelled and created an air pocked under me and used it to throw myself between the beast and them.
The huge beast turned to me as I pulled my wand out and pointed it at him. “Caminus !” I yelled and I hit the beast with a ball of fire. This sent the beast to its back feet and as he turned its full attention on me. “What in the world am I doing?” I thought to my self as the beast hissed at me showing me all its sharp teeth. “Caminus !” I yelled and sent a fire bull into its mouth. This made the beast wilder as rage engulfed it. The beast stared at me and I quickly put up a shield just it time to see it swing its huge front paw across the shield which sent me flying into the side of a stone balding. I crashed to the floor and sow how large the beast really was. My shield flickered out and I tried to catch my breath from the impact of the wall to get another shield up. I thought came to me that sent pain throw me. “I have to destroy this beast. And I only have enough power left for one more spell.” I thought as the beast came at me tarring the street up under it. I got up and ran away from the others. That is when something unexpected happened as I turned to the beast and I sow him suck air into him as it made his hair stand on end and I sow needles between the hairs of his body rose up in deferent directions. I was frozen in place as he lunched the needles right at me. I was struck about seven times which sent me crying in pain to the ground. I watched as the beast came closer to me. I sat up as he snarled at me. And picked up my wand and remembered an old spell that I sow in a book, which seemed like years ago. “I have to try.” I thought and razed my wand at the beast, as it was now only feet away from tarring into me. “Deflagratio –Onis !” I yelled and this huge fire dragon similar to the water dragon spell came out of my wand and sent the beast in a blaze of flame the smell of burning flesh came to me as darkness came with it.
“So?” came a voice I felt a hand on my neck
“She is alive sir. Do you think she killed that Graymilk?” asked another voice closer to me
“May be” Said the first voice I opened my eyes and it was bright as the sun was setting behind the two men one kneeling next to me the other standing just to his left
“Good your awake.” Said the one standing I sat up and looked around. I could see a large pile of something burning in the middle of the street and several sorceresses surrounding the burning beast to keep it contained with their power focusing throw there staffs. I tried to stand but got stopped by a hand on my shoulder.
“Where do you think you are going?” asked the man I forgot was next to me. Nicolas came to mind and I ignored him leaped to my feet and started to run to the park I was stopped by a hand in the middle of my chest and sow a will belt man with a black long cape short black hair with a white stripe down the center he stared at me with his green eyes. “Desinointransit .” Said the man I felt a little force on my chest where his hand was but it was strong enough to send me back down to the ground with a pain full thud. I ended up blacking out again.
When I came to the man was now standing next to me reading the letter I had in my pocket. The other man that was kneeling next to me was nowhere in site. He turned to me “So you’re this infamies Kate that I heard so much about. Tell me where is your familiar, apprentice and that power vampire you where with?” he asked I just stared at him I tried to sit up but was stopped by his foot on my chest. “You are in no condition to be moving. So tell me where your friends are at so we can get you out of here.” He said,
“Why should I tell you I don’t even know who you are?” I asked,
“You should know you where late for are meeting I was going to leave tell I sow this huge fire ball.” He said as he turned to the street
“I’m sorry I don’t know you.” he smiled at me
“You are not a fool. I’m glad about that. I’m Arch mage Riken at your service.” he held out his hand and moved his foot from my chest. I took his hand and he helped me to stand. I was light headed and really dizzy as I tried to stay on my feet. He kept hold of my arm as he helped me to stay on my feet.
“How do you know about my friends?”
“Pleas there is not much I don’t know that goes on in my city.” he looked around the other sorceress where gone and the local fire and rescue where working the seen as boom that missed an incoming plane.
“Why should I trust you?”
“I was told that you had a talent on seeing what people are hiding. Do you not?”
“Yes and I can tell that you don’t wont to harm me but I must protect my apprentice.”
“True but you can’t go running around at the moment and you are in no condition to protect him or even fight me. Because of that you will stay with me till you are back up to your full level. It will be safer then staying at that bar.” I was shocked but not all surprised that he knew what happened. “You need to be some where safe. Your father and brother are acting strange lately, and I don’t wont you to get involved with that expectedly if the Dragon Child is to remain safe.”
“How do you know about Nicolas?” he smiled and put his hand on my shoulder
“Simple you are not the only member of the Dragon Fang. Now come on and will go pick up the others up and get out of hear.” as an old gray van pulled up to us the driver was the man from earlier who was kneeling next to me. Riken opened the back door and helped me up onto a bench that was facing the door of the back of the van there was another bench facing the front two seats. “Where are they?” he put a blanked over me that he pulled out from under the bench.
“There next to the sine of the park.” I drafted in and out of a deep sleep
“To the park, Thomas.” Said Riken as he went and sat down in the passenger seat. We got to the park, Riken got out, and called for them by name after a few minuets Nicolas, Midnight, Scarlet, and Destin entered the van.
Destin came up to sit next to me “Are you all right?” he asked,
“I need to rest.”
“Ok you rest and I will watch over everything.”
“Thank you Destin.” I fell into a deep sleep
