CHAPTER 24: SEBASTIAN

SEBASTIAN'S POV

"Por favor mi amor, relájate" my Father said as he kept on trying to make my Mother calm down.

(Por favor mi amor, relájate means Please, my love. Relax in Spanish)

"How could I calm down Leonardo!?" She shouted back before looking at me who was completely unbothered sitting on the sofa.

She looks completely done as she watches me drink the juice the maid gave me earlier while she and Dad we're fighting. "Tu papá y yo estamos peleando y ahí estás tomando jugo casualmente, vamos hijo mío...no estás preocupado por la guerra?"

(Tu papá y yo estamos peleando y ahí estás tomando jugo casualmente, vamos hijo mío... ¿no estás preocupado por la guerra? means I and your Dad are fighting and there you are just casually drinking juice, come on my son...aren't you worried about the war?)

"Nope, I'm good" She sighed before looking at my Dad.

"Why of all people, sayo pa Leonardo?" napabuntong hininga naman si Daddy bago ako tingnan. "Why of all people sayo pa nagmana si Sebastian?"

"Kasi sa kaniya ako galing?" sagot ko at hindi naman ito makapaniwalang napatingin sa'kin.

Nagkibitbalikat naman ako not really sure on what I did wrong. "Did I say something wrong?" I asked, still clueless if there is.

"I heard Dayton is in the Philippines now, why don't you live with him-" I groaned when I heard that person's name.

"Qué pasa con esa cara? Ustedes dos pelearon de nuevo?" my Mom asked as my father went out to check the car.

(Qué pasa con esa cara? ustedes dos pelearon de nuevo? means What's with that face? did you two fight again)

"It's just that...Dayton is an exasperating man. He's really reckless and carefree-"

"At ganun ka din dapat" sabad niya kaya napatingin ako dito. "You're still young, mi hijo. There is nothing wrong with being reckless and carefree"

"But you liked how I talked about marriage as such age" nginitian namin ang isa't-isa nang marinig iyon.

"Yeah. But you can't be sure all the time when it comes to marriage, hijo" she said before checking if my luggage is complete.

"Morning is really a wife material, Mama" kinikilig kong sagot kaya nahinto ito sa ginagawa bago ako tingnan.

She walked over to me before touching both my cheeks. "Whoever that Morning is, I hope to meet her soon" she said before kissing my forehead. "Because she really got my son all whipped up" she giggled before ruffling my hair.

"Go take a shower, you have a flight to catch" sabi niya at tumango naman ako bago nagtungo sa banyo.

Makalipas ang ilang minuto ay nagbihis na ako bago tinawagan si Morning gamit ang telepono sa kuwarto ko. "Hello..." agad na gumuhit ang ngiti sa labi ko nang marinig ang boses nito.

"How are you? Are you doing well?" tanong ko habang nakangiti pa din.

"I'm doing good, nakakain na din ako. Ikaw?" mas napangiti naman ako nang marinig iyon. She has the sweetest voice. "Kumain ka na muna bago ka umalis, panigurado akong mahaba-haba ang magiging flight mo"

"Wag mo kong alalahanin, kaya ko ang sarili ko" pag-assure ko sa kaniya bago kinuha ang naka-charge kong Bluetooth headphones at iPad tsaka ito ilagay sa backpack na dadalhin ko.

"Tatawagan mo pa rin naman ako, hindi ba?" tanong niya. "Alam mo namang ikaw lang ang nakakausap ko bukod sa Kuya ko"

"Oo naman, hindi ako titigil sa pagtawag sayo" I smiled when I heard her laugh. "Bago ko...ibaba ang tawag" I start and take a deep breath to calm myself.
