Jungkook's POV

A Week Later

It's my first day outside of the castle..

After many weeks of trying to contact Yoongi and Namjoon, I was finally able to ask for permission to leave.

I'm currently on my way to see my mother after so long.

After the day of being told we're here for breeding, they sat us down once more to further talk about the process.

If I'm being honest I did not listen whatsoever.

Instead, as soon as the meeting finished I asked if I could leave the castle to meet my mother.

They were reluctant at first, but in the end after some convincing..

They finally agreed.

However, I do need an escort.

Sadly, I was not able to bring any of the others with me.

BUT ITS OKAY.

We will all be able to leave soon too.

"Mr. Jeon? Right this way" Namjoon directed me towards the main faint door.

My chosen escort is Namjoon, they thought he would be the most fit in protecting me or protecting others from me.

I'm not sure what that meant, but I'm too excited to care.

I followed Namjoon out of the doors and was revealed with a foggy and gloomy outside.

This...This isn't what I remember..

"N-Namjoon, where are we?" I asked and he cleared his throat.

"No questions, just get in the car" He directed and I nodded before entering a darkly tinted car.

As we drove, I observed the scenery.

We're definitely located on a mountain.

There's no other reasoning behind the amount of fogginess.

All the trees seemed to have no leaves.

As if we're in fall.

All year round.

No leaves were on the ground.

Only long dead dried up ones.

The grass was a deep dark green shade.

It's as if the mountain gets no sun.

Soon enough the fog lifted slightly revealing a small tiny village at the bottom of a mountain.

I stare at the people walking around in this dark and gloomy weather.

"I would sit back and relax Mr. Jeon.. We have a king ride ahead of us" Namjoon spoke from the passenger seat up front.

I only nodded before looking back outside to only see fields and fields of grass.

No animals in sight.

I assume it's because of the amount of animals our clan must kill daily in order to feed the vampires so much.

Or maybe the vampires that eat out killed all the remaining animals.

Before I could fully comprehend my surroundings, I decided to just close my eyes.

It'll be a long ride.

Might as well rest my eyes for a bit...
