Chapter 48
-;-Stacey's POV-;-
"Aren't you happy?" Angie asked me.
"Happy for what?" I asked, annoyed that it was such a nice day out and I was stuck inside just sitting around doing nothing.
"Happy that next week is spring break!" Brunie yelled.
"Oh yeah!" I said, my mood boosting up a little.
"But there's still practice." Vanny pointed out.
"Oh yeah." I said sinking into my seat again.
"But that's because the show is the Friday after we get back. I'm so excited. We could perform this show right now and it would be great." Angie said.
Angie was right. Over the past couple months everyone has been working hard and the show was really coming together.
"Alright, let's take You Can't Stop The Beat again." Mr.Jay said.
Everyone hurried into their places.
I saw Widmaier move circle her fingers in the air, signaling for the music to start.
That was my cue. I was singing when Seth came out. He smiled at me and we continued singing. Over time, things had become less awkward and more fun between us. We still had tutoring sessions and now he was one of my best guy friends, along with Nate and Dan.
Luckily, I would see Dan and all the others on Monday when they all flew in from Los Angeles.
I was so excited. Now it was time for the kiss. I wrapped my arms around Seth's neck and he held my waist. I could feel butterflies in the pit of my stomach.
It's just practice. Practice. Practice. Practice. Practice makes--Seth leaned in and kissed me--Perfect.
After the scene was over I was still a little jittery over the kiss. We had already practiced the scene--with the kiss--one other time. It was just as nice then.
"Lucky bitch." Brunie whispered to me and I stuck my tongue out at her.
"Good job out there." Seth winked at me then walked away.
I just stood there. Did that have a double meaning? Did he like the kiss? Did he like me?
I hit myself and earned a weird look from Widmaier who was passing by. I shouldn't be thinking about Seth that way. We had finally gotten past the awkwardness, no need to start again.
"Alright guys, practice went so well today that we decided....we'll let you leave early." Ms.A said.
"Yes!" We all yelled getting our stuff together.
I said bye to my friends and walked with Seth to his car. This had become routine. But what wasn't routine were the thoughts running through my head.
Seth interrupted my train of thought.
"Whatcha thinking about?" He asked me.
"My friends are coming from Los Angeles on Monday." I told him.
"Oh that's cool. They're coming the same week as Kelly's huge party."
"Yeah, I know." I said.
He just looked at me and shook his head.
"Nothing." I heard him mutter under his breath.
I act like I hadn't heard him and just stared at my phone.
-;-Seth's POV-;-
She just stared at her phone. I though for sure that she had enjoyed that kiss. Guess I was wrong.
"Oh yeah can I come over tomorrow? For tutoring?" Stacey asked.
"Sure but why do you need tutoring? It's spring break."
-;-Stacey's POV-;-
"So i'll be super smart when we get back to school." I said looking down.
He looked pointedly at me but didn't notice anything. Good.
"Well then. Well see you tomorrow?" He asked me as he stopped in front of my house.
"Yeah. Thanks, bye." I said to him.
I grabbed my bag and walked inside the house. I sunk down against the door.
Seth was so blind. The only reason I wanted to be tutored was so I could be near him.
I sighed.
Boys these days.
