Chapter 43
When I woke up I got into dancer mode. Today were the first dancing auditions. I decided that today I would wear Bermuda shorts with a blue and green striped boyfriend t-shirt with a green tank top underneath. I took a shower and put my outfit on. I put on only a little eyeliner, pulled my hair up into a ponytail, and put my blue converse.
Before I went downstairs I booted up my laptop and went on Facebook. I wanted to see if Sara or anyone was on by any chance. But I highly doubted they would be on. Just as I had predicted, they weren't on. In fact, only Nate was on.
Maybe I should talk to him. Maybe I should apologize. As if he knew I was gonna talk to him he went offline. I rolled my eyes. What would I apologize about? For having a boyfriend and not wanting to cheat on him?
I was really tired of this. He was being childish. Whatever. I logged off and got all my stuff ready for school. I needed to cool off. I walked downstairs and Drew and Kat were sitting together.
"I feel like walking to school today." I said.
"Alright. Good luck with those auditions." Kat said.
"Yeah." Drew said.
I got an apple and started walking to the school. It was really nice outside today. The sun was shining and it was a comfortable temperature outside. I could immediately feel my anger dissolving away.
If Nate didn't want to suck it up and just be my friend, then I didn't care. It was his loss, not mine. But of course if he did want to be friends, that would be nice to. But somehow I highly doubted that.
But onto happier subjects. I wonder what kind of dance they're gonna teach us for Hairspray. A loud honk sucked me out of my little world.
I turned around and it was just Seth. I walked over to his window. He unlocked the door and I got in.
"I've been beeping at you for the past minute. You looked like you were thinking really hard." Seth said.
"You could say that." I said.
He looked at me weirdly then started driving.
"So do you get the packet now?" He asked me.
"Yeah kinda." I said.
"Well I'll help you more on Saturday." He smiled reassuringly at me. I smiled back.
"Thanks. At your place right?"
"Yep. That's all Jake & Jackie will talk about." He said.
"They're so cute. They look exactly like you." I said.
He looked at me and smirked.
"What?" I asked.
"So you think i'm cute?" He asked.
I rolled my eyes, "Don't even."
He laughed. We arrived at the school shortly.
"Thanks for the ride."
"I might as well just give you rides everyday." He said.
"I'll take you up on that offer."
He laughed and we started walking into the building. We were walking towards my locker.
"Stacey, over here!" Brunie yelled. All my friends were by my locker.
"She's loud." Seth said.
"Yep, that's Brunie for you. Anyways bye." I walked towards my friends.
"Bye."
"Hey guys." I said.
They were all frowning at me with their arms crossed.
