Harrison's POV
"Alpha, there are too many of them," Cole links us. "We can't get back to the vehicles. We have to make our way to the trees. Stay together and do not get lost or separated. Do you understand?" Dad linked back. "Yes, Alpha," they replied.

I've taken down three rogue wolves and one rogue vampire. I have gashes all over my chest and a bite on my forearm. The seven of us stay back to back and continue to fight as we slowly make our way to the trees. We have made a dent in their numbers, but it's not enough. There are 7 of us against; I don't even know how many they have. It seems every time we get the upper hand, another wave of rogues comes running out.

We are all wounded. We have to get somewhere safe. I am currently fighting a wolf when I hear a loud whimper come from one of my men. I turn and see a wolf has Rick's shoulder in his mouth. I reach my hand into the wolf I'm fighting and rip his heart out, and then I turn and grab the wolf that has Rick by the muzzle and pull it apart until I am holding one part of his jaw in one hand and the other part in my other hand. He falls lifeless to the ground.

Somehow we are able to escape the rogues and manage to find a cave. "Injuries?" my father links us. "A few scratches and a couple of bites, but nothing too bad," Tanner replies. "Same," Aidan replied. "Rick is hurt pretty bad. He had a chunk ripped from his side and a bite on his shoulder. I  have a few scratches and some bits, but I'll live," Seith replied. "Rick, how are you holding up?" Dad asked. "Im hurting, but I'll be ok," Rick replies. "My ankle is pretty bad, but other than that, I'm good," Cole stated. "I have a few gashes on my chest and a bite on my forearm. What about you?" I asked. "I'm good. Just a few small scratches," Dad replied.

"Harrison baby, I'm coming." Holy shit was that Izzy. "Izzy baby, is that you?" I asked. I was so excited to hear her voice, and she called me baby. She is coming. Wait, she can't come. "Don't come, baby; we were ambushed. It's a trap," I added. I can't lose her. I love her so much. I have to tell her I may not get another chance. "I love you, Izzy," I stated with as much honesty and love as possible. I tried to make her feel my words and know how true they were.

When Izzy said she loved me and that if I die, she dies, I think my heart stopped. She really does love me. "Izzy is on her way with help," I linked everyone. "The rogues are right outside," Dad linked back. I cut the link with Izzy to concentrate on the noises outside. "We are going to have to go out and fight so Izzy can find us," I replied. "Is everyone OK to fight?" Dad asked. "I'm almost healed, so yeah, I am," Rick replied. "I'm good," Cole replied. "We all are," Tanner replied. "Ok. Remember, stay together," Dad stated.

We walked back to the entrance of the cave. I can see the rogues all around looking for us. There is a wolf just a few feet in front of me. "Go," I link everyone. We burst from the cave. We all half shift. My fingers elongate with my nails. My fangs protrude from my mouth, and my eyes are black. I grab the wolf closest to me. I grab his neck and rip his throat out. I don't like to play games. I don't see any reason for prolonging someone's death or letting them think they have a chance. I go for the instant kill.

When he falls lifeless to the ground, I see a vamp coming at me. I ready myself. He jumps up in the air and thinks he will just come down on top of me, and I'll fall. When he comes down, I catch him by the neck. I punch him so hard that my hand goes into his chest. I open my hand and can feel his beating heart in my hand. I grab it and squeeze it; then I rip it out. He falls. Suddenly I have a wolf biting my arm. I reach under my arm and grab his neck and squeeze it until he lets go, then I rip his throat out. Another wolf comes running at me. I plant my feet and steady myself with my arms in front of me. When he runs into me, I don't move. I grab his head and twist it, breaking his neck.

"Harrison!" I hear Izzy scream my name. I look up and see the love of my life fighting her way to me. "Izzy," I shouted. She sees me and smiles that beautiful smile at me. I smile back at her. "Look out," Izzy yells as her smile drops from her face and is replaced by fear. The next thing I know, I'm on the ground with two wolves biting me and tearing me apart. I feel myself losing consciousness. "I love you, Izzy," I link her. Before I pass out, the wolves are ripped off of me. I see a whirlwind of black fur ripped them to shreds.

"Harrison, hang on, baby. Please hang on," I hear Izzy's voice. I can't open my eyes, but I can hear everything. "I'm sorry," I whisper. I should never have let myself get distracted. If I had kept focused, I would be holding Izzy in my arms right now instead of slowly dying. "Harrison Lewis Adams, don't you even think about leaving me," Izzy said before I felt her soft lips on my lips. I want to grab her head and kiss her back, but I don't have the strength. "I love you, I always have," I use the last of my strength to link her. "I love you to, Harriosn, so don't you leave me," she links back. That's the last thing I remember before I fall into complete darkness.
