Izzy's POV
I woke up with a killer headache. Why do I feel like I've been hit and run over repeatedly by a Mack Truck? Every muscle in my body hurts. What the fuck happened? I heard a moan come from my left. I turned my head to the left. That was a huge mistake. I groaned as the pain in my head intensified due to the sudden movement. "Izzy? Are you ok?" I heard my dad's voice. "Dad? What happened?" I asked. "I'm not sure," Dad replied. "Could you guys be a little quieter? My head is pounding," Drew groaned. "Do you know what happened?" I asked. "Nope. No clue. So I suppose that means none of us know where we are either," Drew replies.

"Glad to see you guys are awake," a female voice said to my right. "Who are you, and where are we?" Dad asked. "When you guys feel up to it, please join us in the dining room. We will tell you everything and answer all your questions," the lady replied. I made myself sit up, which took a lot of effort. "Why do I feel like I've been run over a few times?" I asked. "As I said, if you come into the dining room, all your questions will be answered," she replied.

"Ok. Sure. I'll be there in a minute. I just have to get my body to cooperate with me," I said as I tried moving my legs. "Here, this will help with the pain," the elderly lady said as she brought a cup to my mouth. I looked at the cup, and I wasn't sure about drinking it. "What's the worst thing that could happen? It's not like I'll wake up sore as fuck, not remember anything, and barely be able to move. Oh wait, that's already happening," I laughed. "What's so funny about that?" Drew asked. "I don't know, but I'd rather laugh than cry," I replied. The elderly lady shook her head with a smile.

I drank whatever was in the cup. It wasn't that bad. Drew and Dad also drank some. "Wow, that wasn't bad at all, was it?" Drew stated. I've had worst things in my mouth," I laughed. "Izzy!" Dad shouted. "Your embarrassing your father," Drew laughed. "Sorry, Daddy," I smiled. "Bet he's not the only Daddy you have," Drew laughed. "Eww, gross, you sick fuck. I don't and won't ever call anyone but my dad daddy," I stated. "That's what they all say until you have them," Drew said when Dad cut him off. "That's enough. I do not want to hear the end of that sentence," Dad said while grimacing.

Drew and I started laughing. I realized that my body had stopped hurting. "Are we ready to go to the dining room?" I asked. "Let's go," Dad said as he got up from the cot he was lying on. Drew and I both stood up and walked up to Dad. "Are you guys ok?" Dad asked. "Yep. How are you?" Drew asked. "Better. How are you, Izzy?" Dad asked. "Ask me after we find out what's going on," I replied. Dad nodded his head. We walked out and followed the voices to the dining room.

"Hi. How are you guys feeling?" The mystery woman from the car asked. "Rough," Drew replied. She smiled at him. "Please come sit down. We made lunch in case your hungry," the elderly lady said with a smile. The three of us went and sat at the table. The mystery woman and the elderly lady sat across from us. "Hope you like tacos," Another woman said as she walked out of what I assume to be the kitchen holding a tray. "Let me help you," Dad said as he got up and took the tray from the women. "Thank you," she smiled. "You're welcome," Dad replied as he set the tray on the table.

Dad came and sat back down beside me.
Let's get started. I'm Celeste, the older woman said. This is my daughter, Alice," she pointed to the woman from the kitchen. "And this is my granddaughter, Ruby," she indicated to the woman from the car. We are witches. Not just any witches. Our family was chosen to help your family. Our family has been keeping your family safe for generations," she said proudly.

"Wait. What? Witches? Protecting us? From what?" I rambled question after question as I set my hands on the table. "Calm down, Izzy. I'm sure they are about to explain all that to us," Dad said as he put his hand on top of mine. Alice stood up and started placing plates in front of each of us. Then she placed some tacos on our plates. "Let me grab drinks real quick. Give me a second," she said as she rushed into the kitchen. She returned a minute later with six cans of soda. She gave us each one.

I'm starving, and these tacos look delicious.  I dive right into my tacos while still focusing on the witches before us. Dad and Drew also started eating. Well, I'm Andrew Locke. This is my son Drew and my daughter Izzy," Dad said as he introduced us. "It's nice to meet you guys officially," Ruby smiled. "It's nice to meet you guys too, and thank you for helping us," I replied. "Yes, thank you so much for that, and it's nice meeting you guys, too," Dad smiled at Alice. Hmm. "Nice to meet you guys, and thanks," Drew replied.

"Can I ask what made you leave your pack and break your bond?" Ruby asked. I felt my heart ache. I was trying not to think about it. I was doing pretty good until now. I felt a tear run down my cheek. Dad and Drew got up and came and hugged me. They know how painful this is for me.

"I'm sorry; I didn't mean to upset you," Ruby said apologetically. I wiped my tears and looked at her. "It's ok. It's not your fault," I replied. Dad wiped the tears from my face. Do you want me or Drew to tell them? Dad asked. "No, I have to face it. Thank you, though," I said as I hugged my dad.

Dad and Drew sat back down. I took a deep breath and let it out. "My mate cheated on me. I rejected him and passed out. Dad and Drew didn't want me to have to stay there and endure the pain of seeing him with someone else. So we left and broke our bonds so they couldn't track us," I stated with tears running down my cheeks.

"That's not possible," Alice said as she stood up. "It is possible. We all walked in on it," Drew replied with anger flashing in his eyes. Alice walked over to me and took my hand. "I don't mean no disrespect. It's just not possible," she replied. "Look, Alice, was it? My sister felt the betrayal pains. We ran to his room, and he was lying naked in his bed with someone that clearly was not my sister riding his fucking dick," Drew growled.

The picture of the two of them flashed in my head. I felt like my heart just broke all over again. "Do you have to be so crude about it? Your sister is right there next to you. Do you think she wanted that image back inside her head?" Ruby asked. Drew got up and hugged me. "I'm so sorry Iz. I didn't mean it like that. I'm a dumbass," he stated. "It's ok," I said as I gently pushed him away. "That is exactly what happened," I replied to Alice.

"Can you tell me exactly what happened?" Alice asked. I took a deep breath and then let it out. Dad took my left hand, and Drew took my right. I told them everything, from Harrison asking me out to us figuring out we were mates. I told her what he said about his dad making a deal for him to mate Alpha Paul's daughter to us discovering the pack is not broke, then last but not least, walking in on him with Michelle and the rejection. Dad and Drew told her everything they witnessed.

"Something is not right here. Someone had to do something to him. Someone either drugged him or put a spell on him. We will get to the bottom of this. We have to," Alice said mostly to herself, but we heard her. Could she be right? What does this mean? I'm so fucking confused.
