Izzy's POV
I can't believe what I am seeing. There are maybe a hundred people down here. They are all in bad shape. My heart breaks for them, especially the children. They don't deserve this. I want to cry and hug each one of them, but I know we don't have time for that. We don't know when Owen and his men will be back. "Dad, we are going to need some help down here," I link my dad. "What's going on?" he asked. "Dad, it's so bad. There are maybe a hundred people down here. Dad, I don't think any of them can make it out on their own. I'm not sure how we are going to get them all out, but I do know I am not leaving without each and every one of them. We have to figure something out now. We won't have time to waste," I replied.

Dad sends reinforcement in to help. I gather all the children; there are 17 of them. I will never understand how someone could hurt a child, let alone beat and torture them. Owen is a monster. Death is the only thing that will stop him. I'm looking at these broken children. "Please, Goddess, help them forget the horrors they have endured. Let them live long, healthy, happy lives. Please take these memories away from them. They have already been through enough; they shouldn't have to suffer anymore," I silently prayed.

"How are you?" Harrison links me. "He is a monster, Harrison. How could he do this and live with himself? He has to die. You can't save the devil," I replied. "He will die. His reign of terror ends now. We will get all of these people out. If any of his men are working for him because of their families here, hopefully, they will leave him as soon as they discover their families are safe," Harrison said. He is right. If the men and women of these families see that their families are gone and are safe, hopefully, they will have the courage to leave Owens army.

I don't know how we did it, but we did. We have managed to sneak everyone out of the basement. We had just got the last group out and to safety when we heard Owen's ferocious howl. We could hear a commotion coming from the compound. "We have to keep going. These people need medical treatment," I said as I grabbed Harrison's hand. I could see the hate and the anger plastered all over his face. I could feel how much he wanted to go back and end this but now is not the time. These people need our help more right now. Harrison looked at me and nodded his head in acknowledgment.

It took a couple of hours for us to get everyone back to the Moon Shadow pack. The hospital is in chaos right now. No one anticipated this many people would need help. It's all hands on deck right now. I'm so thankful for the protection barrier right now. Having that has freed up some much-needed help.

Celeste, Ruby, and Alice are assessing the witches, while Julius, Elijah, Jillian, and Fallon are assessing the vampires. Valerie is running around helping everyone. Dravin, Tracy, Eva, and Lewis are assessing the werewolves. Dad, Drew, Harrison, and I are taking care of the children.

"Can you guys come with me real quick?" Celeste asked. "Everything ok?" I asked with concern. "Aubree and Henry will stay with the children. We need to talk," she replied. The four of us followed Celeste into the hospital lounge. Everyone was there waiting for us.

"What's going on?" I asked. "This is Brooke; she is Owen's daughter. She wants to talk to us," Lewis replied. Standing in front of me is a beautiful young woman. She is covered in scars and bruises.

"Hello, Brooke. I'm Izzy," I said as I slowly approached her. "I know who you are," she whispered. "Can I ask what happened to you?" I asked. "My father. My mate and I tried to escape, but we were caught. He kept me in the basement and tortured me, forcing my mate to help him. My father has been a monster my whole life. He raped my mother, then killed her after she gave birth to me. He has abused me my whole life. I am the child he never wanted. The only children he ever wanted were supposed to be from the princess. He has hated me my whole life. When my father destroyed the Blue River Pack, he forced their warriors to return with him. That is when I met my mate Kyle. I have been nothing but a tool for him to get Kyle to do whatever he wants. Please, you have to save Kyle," she cried.

"We are hoping when his army sees that their families are gone and safe that they will leave," Harrison replied. "he won't let them leave. He will imprison or kill anyone he thinks will leave. Please, you have to save him. There are only a handful of his men that are there unwillingly. The others are there because they want to be. Some of the families were being tortured to sway them to join them. Most of the woman were tortured by their own mates. They tortured their own children to get their mates to work for my father. They are all monsters. I can tell you the ones that need help," Brooke cried.

Suddenly, the door flies open, and Serina runs into the room. "Brooke, he is going to kill Kyle and the rest of them," Serina cried as she hugged Brooke. "When?" Brooke asked. "Soon. I'm so sorry," Serina cried. "We have to go. We have to save them," Drew growled. "Yes, we do. Get the warriors ready," Dravin ordered.

"Brooke, we are going to save them. Do you think you can come with us? We need someone to let us know who needs to be saved and who doesn't. We don't want to bring an informant back here," I started. "Yes, I think I can," she replied. "Brooke, I'll go. You need to get medical treatment and rest. I'm in better shape than you are," Serina said as she held Brooke's hand. Brooke hugged Serina and thanked her.

We met with our warriors in front of the pack house. "Listen up," Dravin addressed his men. "We have to go back. There are a few more people who need to be saved. Owen is going to kill them. You can see what kind of monster this man is. We can not let any more people die by his hand. I won't force anyone to accompany us because I can't guarantee a safe return home. It is risky going back. It will be a blood bath. I know some of you have families, and I understand if you don't want to come. No one will hold it against you. If you want to come, please step forward," Dravin said.

I respect Dravin so much right now. He wants to ensure his warriors know this is dangerous and has given them a choice. Not all alphas do that. Surprisingly, everyone stepped forward. "Thank you for the choice, alpha, but I don't think we could live with ourselves if we didn't help save these people. Yes, we have families, and if something should happen to us, our families will know we died with honor, trying to save others. I personally can't think of a better way to die," A warrior said as he stepped forward. All of the other warriors nodded in agreement. Dravin stood in front of his warriors with pride, as he should.

We are back in the trees watching Owens's compound. He has 17 warriors tied up and on their knees. "Izzy, the first one is Kyle. The last four are Owen's men. He is waiting for us. He is hoping we take them all back. How did you know he would do that?" Serina asked. "He has already implanted moles here. He must know by now that they have been caught. He needs information on us, this is the best way for him to get it," I replied.

"The last four are Owen's men. Kill them if they get in the way," I linked everyone. Serina freezes next to me, and her eyes then solid white. "She is having a vision," Celeste measured me, seeing the concern on my face. "We have to go now. He thinks you're not coming. He is going to kill them," Serina cried. "It's time. Everyone be careful. Watch your backs and each others; may the goddess watch over us and keep us safe," I linked.

All you can see is bodies dropping from the trees. Some warriors shift as they run. We are in full attack mode. "Izzy, close your eyes and concentrate on protecting all of them," Ravyn linked me. "I don't know if I can," I replied honestly. "Tell Celeste and Serina you need their help and hurry before it's too late," Ravyn said with a hint of panic.

"Celeste, Serina. Ravyn said I need your help to protect everyone. Please help me," I begged. "Ok. Serina take Izzy's hand. Both of you close your eyes. Serina think of the men and women who need our help. Izzy, think of Our family and warriors. Concentrate on them," Celeste said as she grabbed my hand and Serina's.

"Izzy, focus and imagine an invisible shield around you. Then push it out to surround everyone else," Celeste whispered. I tried doing what she said, but it wasn't working. "I can't do it," I cried. "Izzy, we won't have time for you to doubt yourself. You can do this. You have to, or our people will die. Now concentrate," Celeste ordered. She is right; I have to do this. I have to believe in myself and have faith in myself.

I imagine a shield around me. I can feel it start to form. I use all my might and push it out. It's working slowly, but it's working. I can hear people fighting, and I know I have to do this now. I use every ounce of energy I have and push the shield out and picture it surrounding everyone. "Good girl. Now hold it," Celeste ordered.

I don't know how long I hold it in place, but I can feel myself getting weak. I don't know how much longer I can hold it. My head starts spinning, and I lose focus. I opened my eyes only to see the ground rush toward my face before being surrounded by darkness again.
