Harrison's POV
Why is my head pounding? What the hell? Why can't I move? I tried to open my eyes and couldn't. I try to raise my arm, but it weighs a ton. What happened? I rack my brain for my last memory. Izzy, Izzy is my last memory. I remember going to Moon Shadow Pack to look for her and being ambushed. I remember fighting and then seeing Izzy.

"Izzy!" I sat up and shouted. "Alpha, please calm down," a female voice said to my right. "Where is Izzy?" I shouted. "I linked the doctor. He will be here soon," she said. I turned to her, trying to get my eyes to focus. When my eyes finally decide to work, I see a woman in scrubs. I looked around the room and saw I was in a hospital. "Where am I, and where is Izzy?" I asked.

"Alpha, you are at the Moon Shadow pack," she replied. "Is Izzy ok?" I asked. "Glad to see you awake, Alpha Harrison. I'm Dr. Perry.  I'm sure you have a few questions, but first, I need to check you out," Dr. Perry said as he approached me. "What happened, and where is Izzy?" I asked.

"I'm right here," I hear the sweetest voice I've longed to hear. I turn and see Izzy standing at the door. She is breathtaking with that smile I love so much. God, I have missed her so much. She looks like an angel standing there smiling at me. God, I just want to kiss those luscious lips of hers. I've been dreaming about those lips. I stop breathing, and my heart stops when I see she is marked. No, this can't be. She is mine. I feel my heart break. Why did I have to wake up?

"Harrison, what's wrong?" Izzy asked as she rushed to me. I look up at her and feel the first of many tears run down my face. "Congratulations. Your mate is a lucky man," I replied. I want to break down and cry. I've never felt so broken before. I love her so much, but I've lost her. I have to at least try and be happy for her. She deserves to be happy even if it isn't with me.

I feel sparks run through my cheeks before I realize Izzy has placed a hand on each of my cheeks, making me look at her. "I'm pretty sure I'm the lucky one," she replied before she kissed me. My body erupts with tingles and sparks. I wrap my arm around her and pull her to me and deepen the kiss. If this is our last kiss, I'm going to make it a good one. I should probably care about her mate feeling this, but I don't. I just want to stay like this forever.

I run my tongue over her lips, seeking permission. She opens her mouth, granting me permission. I don't hesitate to taste her. I run my tongue over hers and moan at how good she tastes. She runs her hand through my hair, causing my head to erupt with tingles. "Hhhmm," someone clears their throat behind Izzy, but I don't care. I need to feel her and taste her. I need her, damn it.

Izzy starts giggling and pulls away from me. I can't help the whimper that escaped me. "I've missed you so much," she says as she rests her forehead on mine. "I've missed you too. I'm so sorry, Izzy," I replied. "If you two love birds are done, can we let Dr. Perry check my son out?"  I hear Dad laugh. "I love you, Harriosn," Izzy says as she stands up. "I love you too," I reply. Izzy walks around my bed with me, watching her every move. She sits in a chair beside me and takes my hand.

I look at her hand holding mine and remember she is someone else's now. My heart is breaking as I slowly pull my hand from hers. Izzy looks at me, confused. "I don't want to hurt your mate, Izzy," I state. She smiles, and I hear several people laughing. I'm starting to get pissed. Is my pain and misery a joke to them?

"Hey, calm down," Izzy says as she retakes my hand, instantly calming me down. "Alpha, what is the last thing you remember?" Dr Perry asked. I look at my dad and am shocked to see Andrew and Drew standing there. I look back at Izzy, and she gives me a smile encouraging me to answer the doctor. "Um, I remember the ambush and fighting, then seeing Izzy. That's the last thing I remember. Why?" I asked. "A lot has happened since then. We will fill you in when the doctor is done," Dad stated. "Um, ok," I replied.

I sat there staring at Izzy while the doctor checked my vitals. "Are you in any pain?" The doctor asks. Fuck yeah I am. My heart is broken. "My body hurts like I've been run over," I replied. Izzy starts giggling. "Yeah, it's a bitch waking up after that," she laughs. Andrew and Drew began to laugh. What is so fucking funny? Why are they laughing at me?

"Alpha, I need you to follow this light, please," Dr. Perry said as he moved a penlight from one side to another. I follow the light as he runs it up and down. "Everything looks good. Mrs. Celeste here is going to give you something to drink to help you with your pain," Dr. Perry stated before turning and shaking my dad's hand. "If you need me, I'll be in my office," he added. "Thank you, Dr. Perry," Dad replied as he returned the handshake. "You're welcome, Alpha," Dr. Perry said before walking out.

"I think we should tell him about Izzy's mate first. I hate seeing that broken puppy dog look on his face," Drew laughs. I raise my arm and flip him off. Drew starts laughing harder.

I look at Izzy, my beautiful Izzy. Wait, not my Izzy anymore. "Where is your mate?" I ask her. "He is here," she laughs. "What is so funny? Why do you guys keep laughing at my heartbreak? I know I fucked up, but I didn't know I was fucking up, I swear. I know you all hate me, but I can't take this. My heart is shattered, and you guys think it's a fucking joke. Izzy, I'm so sorry. I never meant to hurt you. I would never purposely hurt you; you have to know that," I cried.

Izzy jumps up and hugs me. I hug her back as if my life depended on it. She climbs into bed with me and straddles my lap. I pull her to my chest and let my tears flow. "I'm so sorry," I cried into her chest. "I know you are. I know everything that happened, Harrison; I'm not mad at you. I love you," she said as she ran her fingers through my hair.

"I love you too. I love you so much. I never wanted to lose you, Izzy," I cried. "You haven't," she replied as she kissed my head. "Yes, I have. You're marked. You have a mate," I replied. "I am marked, and I do have a mate that I love with all my heart," she replied. What is she doing? Does she have to rub salt into my opened wounds?

I buried my face into her chest and held her tight against me. I don't know if I will ever be able to let her go. She is mine, and I am hers. I will challenge her mate, no matter who he is. I'm not giving up on her or us. "Harrison look at me," Izzy says as she gently pulls away from me. I look up at her, and she wipes the tears from my face. "Harrison, baby. You are my mate."
