Am I the asshole for wanting my brother to walk me down the aisle?

I, 22 female/male/enby, recently got engaged to my girlfriend Bonnie.

I have a big family with three brothers and two sisters. Plus my brother's ex girlfriend Haley and their daughter Hope.

I asked my sisters and brothers (and their boyfriends/girlfriends) to be my bridesmaids/brides men and for Hope to be one of the flower girls. I also had a twin brother, Henrik, who died when we were young and he will be there in spirit with an empty chair.

Haley is also a bridesmaid because after she broke up with Klaus (my brother), she started dating my other brother Elijah.

It's important to note that I'm not close with either of my parents, and they are not invited to the wedding at ALL. Because of this I asked my favorite brother, Klaus, to walk down the aisle.

This apparently upset Haley who said, quote unquote "It's already bad enough that you have a seat for Henrik, but now you're having Klaus walk you? It's completely inappropriate! Don't any of you find this weird?"

She claims that the only person that Klaus should walk down the aisle is Hope, and that I need to suck up whatever issues that I have with my parents and deal with them for MY day and ask them to walk me down the aisle.

When I told her that it was my day and I can have whoever I want there along with having Klaus walk me, she snapped that I should just have Henrik's urn walk me.

This hit too close to home and now everyone is upset with Haley who claims that I'm tearing the family apart.

Was I wrong for asking Klaus?
