AITA For having my stepdaughter arrested?

I, 30 male, recently got married to Renee, 36 female. Renee has a daughter, Bella (17 female), and I have a daughter, Mikaela (15 female) who is mixed (her mother was black).

She was the product of a one night stand between me and my upper classmate when I was 15. Her mother, Olympia (33 female), abandoned her at the hospital and went off to college, and while she doesn't have visitation, she pays $15,000 a month in child support.

I raised Mikaela by myself for the past 15 years and received a lot of feedback for my choices by strangers. Since she mostly takes after her mother, people assume that she's adopted or a foster child and say that I'm doing 'charity'.

This has led me to become overprotective and defensive of Mikaela.

Renee and I didn't meet each other's daughters until the day of the wedding, and I never told Renee about Mikaela being mixed because I didn't think that it mattered.

Mikaela was my daughter.

Period.

As soon as Mikaela met her new stepmother and stepsister there was an obvious tension between them. I figured it was a female thing (and hoped that it wasn't race related), and tried to ease everyone into each other.

Renee and I went on our honeymoon and Renee's ex husband watched the girls. I was reluctant to leave my daughter alone with a stranger, but after meeting Charlie I deemed him trustworthy.

We went on our honeymoon and I called and emailed Mikaela daily. So I quickly noticed that something was going on between Mikaela and Bella, but Mikaela refused to open up about it. Then, one day Mikaela wasn't to answering my phone calls or emails.

It had been a week before I made contact with Mikaela again.

Apparently, Bella decided to go on a spontaneous trip to Italy and forced Mikaela to go with. I immediately wanted her arrested for kidnapping because she took Mikaela to the other side of the world without my knowledge or consent.

Mikaela said that she fell asleep on the couch and woke up in an airplane without her wallet or cellphone.

Renee told me that I was being dramatic and that teenage girls did that all the time. But Mikaela was now uncomfortable around Bella and was begging me to come home.

I don't think I'm being dramatic or irrational here, but AITA?
