The Demon Inside

Chapter 7

Turns out the place for the mission was at a underground basement that no one ever used because humans were scared of mice. Or Demons.

"All I'm saying is we know nothing on how to find him!" Austin was out of sorts annoyed his father gave us little information.

"Sweetie, It wasn't his fault, he would've told us."

"Yeah sure, Luna. The great Lucifer would have told the half- demons how to make this all easy, " Lily scoffed.

"You mean 3 Half and 1 Full?" Luna glared. I was getting annoyed all that was happening was arguing and no progress.

"Guys, this shit will get us nowhere. Okay, so lets just go over the info we DO have. His name is Matt, he is a half demon half human, and he is wherever we are," I sighed.

"California." Austin corrected.

"Yes exactly. Plus, I will notice if he is a demon or not so all we have to do is search."

"Ayla, only you have that Gift. We all are different!" Luna was starting to get tired of this.

Oh, that reminds me, we all have a Gift. Luna's is that she can read minds. Austin can conjure up fire, Lily can shift to any form, and I can sense if people are not human and what they are. My mom's Gift was she made things levitate and my father could disappear.

"Exactly, Lily can change her appearance to find him and you can read minds to see if people talk about him. I say we split into teams."

"Teams never work out! Even in shows," Lily stammered.

"But it will get the job done faster..." Austin slowly stated.

"But then the faster we leave," When Luna spoke we all went to a deep silence. Nobody wanted to leave just yet, especially since Hell is where we will go too. I had to agree, I miss my dad to bits but I didn't want to leave just yet.

"Then lets start together to find him tomorrow?" Austin suggested.

We all nodded and headed back to our rooms to end the day in sleep.

When I got to my room I heard a scream at the end of the hallway, a scream loud enough for everyone to hear. Nothing happened, and my hand started to sweat worried on what to do. The scream came again and that's when I heard whose it was. Mya.

I took advantage of my power and ran to where she screamed faster then humanly possible. When I got there I saw her tied to the bathroom door with a cloth tight in her mouth and her eyes wide in fear looking at me. I couldn't breathe as I untangled her and brought her close to me to hug and let her know she was okay. My heart was racing and I could feel that hers was too.

"Ayla oh god I was so scared no one would hear me," She cried hysterically on my shoulder.

"Shh, it's okay lets go back in the dorm." She slowly nodded and followed me inside. I brought her water on her bed and sat next to her to hear the story.

"Mya, what happened?"

" I don't remember. All I know is one minute I'm walking to the room and the next I'm tied up looking at you." She looked at me with wide eyes.

"You don't remember who did this?"

" Not a clue." She was petrified so I nodded and went to my bed to let her sleep off the fear crawling in her skin. Although, I could not sleep and I knew who would have done this to her. Tomorrow I am killing a vampire.

"What did you do to her?!" I was angry and could not wait to scream at him. I went straight to his desk when Ms. Kay left for a meeting.

"Did to what?" He laughed. LAUGHED! I gave him the death stare that I wish would kill.

"Did to my friend, Mya."

"I did nothing to that human." He said human like he was saying Rat.

" She was tied up! What makes you think I won't hold you guilty?!" When I said that his face turned to shock but left as fast as it came.

"Why would I do that?"

" I don't know, why don't you tell me?" He looked amused the whole time and I just wanted to smack him down to effin Hell.

"Vampires drink." He stated with a smirk. I froze for a minute, knowing that was true. Nonetheless, I still didn't believe.

"Stop toying around Scott! You hurt her and you know it. " I was giving up and left to sit back down in my desk.

He leaned forward to whisper in my ear something that interested me.

"No, but I know who did."
