"Anna!"

I hated her calling me that. It is not my name! I groaned getting out of bed slowly.

"ANNA!!"

"Coming," I muttered.

Being in Hell doesn't mean I have no school. I hated the school because it is all about killing. How to kill, what to kill, and when to kill. I looked at myself in my mirror, brushing my midnight black hair. My eyes were golden, like my moms. After getting dressed I went downstairs to my god-awful step-mom. She looked at me in disgust because apparently my uniform I wear everyday isn't scary enough for her.

"Anna, your father will disappointed in you," she growled. I don't care if she thinks she's my mom or that she can control me. I hated her calling me that and she only did it to make me angry.

"My name isn't Anna and fathers not home," I hissed. I could see the fear in her eyes but if there was some she didn't show it.

"Fine Ayla but your name is not of evil."

Who said I wanted it to be? My name is the only thing that reminds me who I really am. I never liked my step-mom and she didn't care for me. My mother was full of spirit and hope, but Lucifer did not tolerate that. Dad loved her but his duty was to stay, so mother left for Heaven. Without me.

"Someday I'll see you my little darling. Someday you will be home."

It was the last thing she said to me before she was gone. My dad isn't as evil as you think but he ain't sweet either.

"My name stands for who I am, Diane," I curded. She hated me saying her name but like I said, I don't care. She just huffed and left hitting me on the shoulder on the way out.

School is the same but in this one we have demons. Except me. My friends don't want to be demons but they can't help it. Although, they try.

"Hey Ayla!" yelled my friend Luna from behind me. I smiled, seeing her run to me with her hair closely similar to mine falling on her face. Her blue eyes sparkled softly.

"Hey Luna, how was your weekend?" I knew her answer wouldn't be good because in her home it never is.

"Ugh please don't remind me! My dad was trying again to make me take that damn test," she flinched at the end.

She was talking about the test everyone takes to be a demon. You must kill. We both vowed to not do it, but sadly it might happen. This is an ordinary thing her parents would do and I hated it. My dad never made me, but my step-mom always tries.

"I want to run away," she whispered.

"Better said than done."

"Whatever, I don't want this life Ayla." Before I could respond she quickly added," Come run away with me!"

"What?! No way!" I stammered by her words. She looked at me then down in sadness. I felt bad for her but what I said is true. I can't leave until I have a true reason. Plus where would we go? I pursed my lips and looked at her waiting for an answer.

"Why? You and I both know we don't want to stay." I didn't know what to say because even though I hate it, this is my home.

All of a sudden Lily came over with her blonde hair flying everywhere. She looked at me with the red eyes meaning she has finally changed. When your eyes become red it is because you are now a full demon. When changed you can't leave because like vampires the sun will blind you and after a while, kill you. The other one is when they want to kill and sometimes they can't control that. They don't eat their kill they just torture them to hell...literally. Luna was astonished and I was beyond showing any emotion to my sweet, non-violent friend.

"Hey guys what's up?" She smiled like nothing happened. I looked at Luna and she was also thinking the same thing.

"Lily how did this happen," I whispered. There is only one way to change, but what I really meant was if she wanted to. Lily looked down then slowly brought her gaze to me with sadness.

"They killed Taylor."

I knew what she meant. Taylor has been her boyfriend for a while breaking and making up. Sometimes they make you change by taking the things you love. Even if it is already a demon they don't care because here in Hell anyone can be an enemy. So I guess she was forced because her parents did this to Taylor, which in return made her angry. I heard Luna gasped and quickly comfort her with a hug as I slowly came back to reality.

"I'm so sorry." I didn't know what else to say because I don't know how it feels to lose someone you desperately love.

"Lily let's run away," Luna pointed out. I glared at her for saying this impossible thing at a time like this.

"It's too late for me now. I'm a demon."

"We can go to Earth," Luna suggested. Lily looked in awe.

"I've always wanted to go there..."

"Guys stop this madness! She's a demon if she sees light she will die and Luna, we can't leave our home." I was starting to get annoyed. When I heard a phone go off Luna took hers out and texted her loving boyfriend back smiling like an idiot. "Austin is very persistent."

She laughed at my joke and finished her texting before putting her phone back in her jeans pocket.

Oh yeah, Austin is Lucifer's son just so you know. Even though that is his father he still hates this life just like my friends and I, which is also the very reason him and Luna got together in the first place. "If you run away, what about Austin?"

She looked at me blankly before saying, "It was his idea." Lily widened her eyes when she said those words.

"His? He can't leave."

I will not lose in this useless argument. Before we said anything else the speaker called for me to see my adoring uncle.

"Good luck Ayla," Luna smiled and so did Lily before going to class leaving me alone in the empty hallways. I scoffed thanks and walked away to my next fate.
