"And you're sure you're ready?" Benny asked me as I applied some brown eyeshadow to my eyelids.

"Yes. I want to do this. And I need to. Stop worrying, you're the one who told me to last year."

He sighed and nodded. "Okay. But if you want to back out, just let me know."

"I will. But I won't need to so don't expect it." I put my makeup away and slipped on my short black heels. Benny continued to watch me as he leaned on the wall by the door, the concerned look only getting worse. "Seriously," I gave him a kiss and opened the hotel door. "Stop worrying."

He followed me out and we walked down the hall to the lobby, and out into the crisp air. We walked a few feet down the sidewalk to a door that was part of the hotel but led to the hall that couldn't be accessed from inside the hotel. Weird design, in my opinion, but Benny says it has an interesting story behind it. I go up to a small table and sign my name, taking a piece of paper from the man sitting there and going back to Benny.

"It's supposed to start soon, have you seen them yet?" I asked, looking around the large busy room.

"No, but I'm sure they'll be here soon. As a very wise woman once said, stop worrying." He smiled and put an arm around me. I smirked and rolled my eyes, continuing to look around for them. It didn't take long before I saw Macy charging through the crowd.

"ADDY!!" She screamed, attacking me with a strangling hug, kissing both my cheeks and hugging me again. "Oh my god I missed you!!"

"I missed you too!" I responded, hugging her tightly. "Oh my gosh you've gotten bigger!" I turn my attention to her stomach, a prominent baby bump keeping us a few inches apart. "How is little Cynthia?"

"She's doing great. The doctor said she's got a very strong heart and I'll be ready to pop by October. If she can hold out til then, that is."

"Well I'm ready to meet her whenever she is. Though hopefully she's not as loud as her namesake was." We laugh a little and I hold my hand to her stomach, wondering if the baby can sense it. "Oh by the way, Benny's been just dying to see you again. He missed you so much while we were gone." I say, exaggerating, but he did miss her a little. She turns her attention to him and Jamie gives me a welcoming hug.

"So how was Scotland? We heard over the radio that Benny wiped the floor with em'"

"Well, you heard right. I'm just glad chess doesn't require talking because the Scottish are much harder to understand than I would have thought. But it was beautiful, and everyone was very nice. How was it at home?"

"Great, Macy's absolutely glowing and even when she's a public menace I just can't wait for that little girl."

"Me too. Did I ever say how thankful I am that you guys chose Cynthia?"

"Hey, we're just glad you allowed us to name her after you're mother. It really meant a lot to Macy."

"I know.. It would have meant a lot to her too."

"I can imagine. She would probably call the baby Cynthia junior or Cynthia the second all the time." He chuckled and I smiled, hugging him again.
