Time Skip: Wedding Day

Girl's special day

Every girl dream of their wedding day being perfect, a day filled with joy, love, and endless happiness. Today is my wedding day, the day I become Mrs. Alexander Laurent.

Who I don't love but feel pity for him.

However, my emotions are a tangled mess. As I sit in front of the vanity, the makeup artist finishes her work and steps back to admire her hardwork.

"You're looking beautiful, ma'am" She says, her voice filled with genuine admiration. I graciously thanked her, acknowledging the commendable job she had done, just as Alexander had assured me.

Alexander!

His name sends a shiver down my spine. I take one last glance at myself in the mirror, taking in the intricate details of my wedding dress, the subtle shimmer of my makeup, and the way my hair cascades in perfect waves.

With a deep breath, I stand up and walk over to the balcony. The view outside is breathtaking, but my mind is elsewhere. Memories of my wedding day not so different from this one flood my mind, causing my breath to hitch.

I quickly retreat into the room when I hear a familiar cry. My heart instantly softens as I see him lying on the bed, tears streaming down his tiny face. I rush to his side, sitting down and gently tapping his stomach in an attempt to soothe him.

"What happened, my baby?" I ask softly, lifting him into my arms. He grabs my finger tightly, his small hand wrapping around it with surprising strength, and I can't help but chuckle.

His teary eyes gaze up at me, filled with innocence and trust. As always, I kiss his forehead, then his cheeks, then his nose, and finally, his lips. His cries turn into giggles, and my heart swells with love.

"Naughty boy" I say, rubbing my nose against his. He kicks his legs and waves his arms in the air, but he still doesn't let go of my finger.

I gently pry my finger from his grasp and start wiping his face. He had soiled his clothes, so I take out a fresh set.

This little soul is the reason behind my decision to marry Alexander. I want to give him a stable and secure future.

"Promise me, you're going to be a good boy today and won't bother anyone." I say as I dress him in a warm t-shirt.

He looks at me with wide eyes, and I stare back, captivated by his innocence. After a few moments, he tries to turn to the other side, making me smile.

"How do I look?" I ask him, curious about his reaction. He stops moving, his eyes lighting up as he kicks his legs and waves his arms in the air, giving me a big, toothless smile. His happiness is contagious, and I can't help but laugh.
