I winced in pain as the nurse squeezed my breast, trying to pump the milk that just wouldn't come. This was the end of three long weeks of treatment, with today being the final dose.

I had thought it would only last a week, but my baby had to wait longer than I expected. The pressure made my discomfort worse, but what made it almost unbearable was my shyness.

I hadn't told the doctor about the difficulties I was having because Alexander, my overprotective partner, never left my side when I was with the medical staff.

Even now, he sat nearby, completely absorbed in his phone.

At first, I was terrified. But the doctor reassured me, explaining that some pregnant women struggle with milk production and that manual expression or using a machine was sometimes necessary.

The machine hadn't worked for me, so the nurse suggested manual expression, but I couldn't do it myself. She had to take over. My chest turned red and numb under the nurse's relentless squeezing.

"S-stop, please!" I clenched the bedsheet tightly, crying out. The nurse sighed, stepping back to apply a cold cloth to my inflamed chest.

Exhausted and in pain, I leaned my head against the wall, feeling the weight of my swollen breasts pulling at me. Despite everything, I was determined. I had to do this for my baby.

"Nova, you can do it." I whispered to myself, pulling the cloth away and gathering my strength. I squeezed again, and the pain shot through me, but the coldness of the cloth made it somewhat bearable.

Footsteps interrupted my thoughts. I felt Alexander's presence fill the room as he stormed toward me, anger blazing in his eyes.

"Get out!" He yelled at the nurse, who quickly scurried away. Feeling exposed and vulnerable, I hurriedly grabbed the blanket and covered myself.

"Lay down!" Alexander's voice was commanding, leaving no room for argument. I broke eye contact, confused and intimidated, and did as he said, lying back down.

My heart pounded in my chest, unsure of what was coming next. I watched him begin to unbutton his coat, taking it off and placing it on the table. My eyes followed his every movement as he removed his wristwatch, my heart racing even faster.

What was he doing?

His intense gaze locked onto mine, and he leaned over, reaching for the duvet. Instinctively, I grabbed his hand, my voice trembling,

"Alexander, what are you doing?" Instead of answering, he pressed his lips to mine in a forceful kiss. I was shocked at first, but after a moment, I found myself kissing him back, wrapping my arms around his neck.

I gasped when I felt his chest against mine, realizing that he had somehow pulled the duvet down. Even though he was still wearing his shirt, I could feel the hardness of his body against my bare skin.
